9210 Contact Service Problem

Hi I have a 9210 that when i got it wouldnt power up (would charge but nothing else). I have since changed the small board in the back of the phone and now it powers up and the pda works but the front screen just comes up with "Contact Service" and now won't charge. I Guess this is probably due to differant firmware versions or some sort of security issue..

I have d/l the 9210 full flash file but unsure how to flash the phone. Do i need a DCT4 Flasher or an older dejan cable or is it a Nokia Service Centre job... ??

I have used a FBUS/MBUS Cable and i can read the Info but cant change somethings but can change the IMEI, FAID, etc..

Can Anyone Help With What I Need To Do With It...??

First you need to found out why you have C/S in the phone (but as you say you can't do FAID or IMEI) then I'm guessing you have MCU Checksum Fail, which means that the phone needs to be flashed, so to do this you need a flasher (Griffin, neelix3 or prodigly look to pay around £180 to £300 for any of them), now I guessing you have S/W version 3.54 or 3.62 as C/S on these is a normal problem (if you have a 3.18 then you need a upgrade anyway), so before you do anything back up the via the PC suite as no matter what happens you will lose all the info on the phone.

Now I have flashed many a 9210 (i) (have griffin) so more than happy to do this for you or you will have to find someone local to do it for you as if you take it to Nokia you will be with out the phone for up to a week (most times you have it back in 4 days)

Anyway get a copy of eeprom tools and tick test and see what is says from there I can give more help.
