8310 Big Problem

Hi everyone,

I'm new in the forum. Can anyone tell me whats wrong with my phone. I bought an 8310 with a broken power switch, installed new power switch. The the phone worked fine afterwards :) , then came the big problem. I bought a data cable for the phone and used it for a while using oxygen phone manager. It worked fine till i started moving messages and making new folders, the program hung and ever since the phone turns itself on and off, constantly resetting :-? . It stays on for about 3 seconds then resets. This only happens when the sim card is in. Without the sim cards it just says insert sim. I have tried several sim cards. the phones software version is V 03.07 then it says 03-10-01 NHM-7.


Any suggestions of what the problem could be and any fixes would be very helpful. Thanks in advance

next time don't put your phone with cable, buy an irda it will not do harm to u'r phone, i think u need to flash to the same ver, or try upgrade to higher ver. i have similar problem w/ my v4.04 sometimes it get hangs after flashing it goes fine.... to do this u need dongle&cable there's a cheap cable on the market, see how u can do this at http://www.unlockme.co.uk/dct4flashing.html

thanks mate. I thought it might need flashing, i know a local place where they can do it for £15. When using an irda connection can you still move messages around and create new folders. can you also send logos and ringtones?

with logomanager and idr you can send picture mesages ringtones callgoup and sms, use the phone preview for ring tones, that way you acn chose the one you want to replace on the phone. and to save pictures to the phone clear the location number and they go in to your in box, then you can rename them and move them to acive, outbox or templates:)
