Hi Guys

I'm new to this stuff. I flashed my 6210 with the 5.56 firmware update, using the Rolis flasher 4.77. Once it was complete, i used Rolis flasher 4.79 to update the FAID. The signal comes, and then goes. So i reloaded the IMIE number, then updated the FAID again, still nothing. All the locks are open to factory settings.

Am i missing out a step or something? When i put the phone next to a speaker, the interference is only a few single ticks, as apposed to a series of double ticks, that i normally notice. If that helps?

hmmm try this. Make sure that your flash files are either original dejan/wintesla files and/or have killed the MCU/Flashcheck/FAID for modded flash, also when uploading a new eeprom or changing the imei, the phone might restart once and after restarting you'll have network reception... or there might be a hardware fault.

Hope this helps.

Ok here's an update.
I was playing around with the 6250 flash files yesterday. I had a complete flash image (mcu, ppm,&eeprom in one). when i flashed it to the phone, i did the usual:
Changed IMIE number (Nokia Tool by Jordik v3.03)
Reset SP Locks (Knok Phoenix)
Updated FAID (Nokia Tool by Rolis Ver 1.8)
switched off
then updated FAID again.

After this, still signal loss. But i tried this on my 6210, worked perfectly. Then i transfered my 6210 backup flash image back onto both phones. It worked fine on my phone, but still signal loss on the other one.

Is there some settings that aren't getting flashed? Cause i did manage to get this phone working earlier this week. What settings cause signal loss?

Converting a 6210 to 6250 will lose the GSM 1800 capability of the phone. Please read old posts for more information. On this topic and on the signal loss issue.

Hope this helps.
