Does anybody know if the games shown here:

will be playable on our 3650/7650/6600s? I haven't seen such games for portable system. Not even on gameboy advance.

I have been told that the n-gage uses a special graphics chip so the games won't be compatible.

I don't know about special graphics chips but i'm very sure that there are API's not available in other Series 60 phones used in coding of N-Gage games.So,they wont work.

I think that N-gage is not a serious phone !!! Just high quality of the screen and the games played on it. Just for games - nothing else.

its not really a phone tho is it? Its just a gameboy advance/sega gamegear with phone capabilities as well

I dont think ...Nintendo would b competing with Nokia N gage ...

Gameboy Advance has been a huge hit ..and its much cheaper then an N Gage ...Nokia in gaming can never compete with PS2 or Nintendo ...as Sony is bringin out a new hand held console ....

But the N Gage is amazin ..but i still wouldnt buy it ...I got a GB Advance and installed the Afterburner and i love it ....u get all da best games on it ...

ohh the N-Gage is a magical piece of equipment. i played on one....friday it was. at one of nokia's tour thingies.
anyway it handles just like a 3650, same sort of menu set up (as its symbian) except the keys are spread out differently, and theres lots of short cut buttons.
in my oppinion, the N-gage is better, and i love my 3650, coz there pretty much the same thing. except it looks different. it sits nicely in the hand and it plays almost playstation graphical games. i played sonic (which is ace) and tony hawks 1 in 3D.
so imagine your 3650 with the capability of playing high quality games, having the ability to play radio and a short cut to your mp3 player and yet still being able to download strange and wonderful appz :) because thats what it is. i wonder what newer programs can be made now that it can pick up radio signals....

PS, nokia are going head on with nintendo, as they have sega on their side, plus its coming out at £99.99 here in england. so hell yeah im getting one

you could still watch videos...just install the 7650 version of the nokia videocamera,and hope that will work in reproduction :-P

I have downloaded almost every game, java or symbian, for my 3650. None of them reaches the quality of N-gage's games. I think n-gage will be very popular. The games are written on MMC's so they can be copied. Don't forget that PS1 became famous because of piracy. Nintendo uses expensive, hard-to-copy cardridges. Gameboy advace succeeded because of the lack of competitors. Now sony and nokia are are releasing their own portable consoles only gamers will benefit from this competition (low prices, increasing game quality).

i gotta disagree. i don't think n-gage is gonna do too well. Nokia's not usin it's head. Gameboy works cause it's 100 dollars. N-Gage costs two legs and a left nut. Plus, most people don't want to be seen with a "toy." They want to bust out a bad a$$ cell phone (that's maybe the one thing most dissapointing bout the 3650, it's kind of goofy lookin). Gameboys are targeted at kids and a very few young adults. The kids who buy gameboys don't have the money for n-gage and don't need a cell phone plan, so rebates won't help (like wit my 3650 that was free after rebates). The young adults who buy cell phones don't want a game boy (which is why i gave mine to my little bro a year ago). So Nokia's screwed themselves over by having too small of a group who's gonna buy the thing.

Don't get me wrong, N-gage is bad as hell, it's just as good as Playstation wit games, but I just don't think it's gonna sell. Besides, with games like Interstellar Flames and Doom on my Nokia 3650, I'm set till they come out with a smaller version of the 3650.

and for those that dont care about what a phone looks like...?
i wouldn't have bought the 3650 if i was buying a phone on looks. but people still buy it (and try and nick the damn thing off you) because of what it can do. i think thats what nokia are going for now. as companies like samsung are releasing all these 'sexy' looking phones, but their nothing more then eye candy able to make phone calls and thats it.
but your probably right. but i reckon it could go either way. its either going to sell loads, or hardly any at all. either way, im going to be getting one.
and its only slightly more then a GBA SP. ours is coming in at £99.99 online. for a radio, MP3 player and game console, that aient half bad as i remember when the 5510 came out (another ugly phone, which to the point didnt actually sell because of its looks....totally cancelling out what im saying, so ignore this bit) it was something like £130 online.
but anyway,it kind of looks sexy in its only little way, not that it matters, as il only be focusing on the screen. :-P

The fact that SEGA and that the n-Gage uses standard Li-Ion rechargeable batteries found on almost every NOKIA phone, makes it a contender to be reckoned with.

Still Nintendo has its experience in the mobile gaming industry, which will make it hard for the n-Gage to penetrate the market. Unless of course, they come out with games that are just too cool to play with!

I don't think the phone will suck, but, I'm unsure either if it'll fail in terms of sales. :-?

So if the n-gage costs two legs and a left nut,and in euros it is 150,then the GameBoy should cost two legs,or one leg and a left nut because in dollars its a 100.The N-Gage is a Phone,SemiPDA and a gaming console,it will appeal several demogrpahics,and IMO,it will sell a lot!

Bollox are they gonna be £99.99. The 3650 wen it first came out was like £200 and i cant see it coming out at £99.99

If you are right then ill stand corrected, but ive never seen a phone with high capabilities to be priced under £100

Look at the 6600, thats pricey now and its just come out, 1000 euros in places,

the 7210 was about £150 when first realeased and that was the latest from nokia at the time

so the odds of it being £99.99 are slim in my opinion

when the nokia 3650 first came out, it was £99.99 online. now its cheaper by like 20 quid or something.
anyway, the N-Gage is coming out at £99.99 also online. the reason they dont cost all that much is.... well i dont know, the point is it doesn't. probably something to do with the size and looks.

I think it is like the computer - Play station thing, they both work CD's but computer doesnt work PS games, but there is a program that makes it work,

Maybe There will be an Application that make NGAGE MMC work on 7/3650 / 6600.

true com can play ps games, tts cause com has the proper software and gfx cards better then the set, den using a prog tt optimised the game, u can play. try playin com games on ps sets. tt cant b done.

similarly, ncage, i believe has better graphics performance and capability. i doubt 3650 can play ncage games thou.

Maybe it does, 1st u cant add apps on PS, to support Computer games, 2nd Computer and PS have xtremely different layouts ( the controls, we have about a thirty buttom in our keyboard, but PS has about 10 )

The N-Gage will be priced 299 euros sim free but you can easly get it subsided on contract from any operator.You can't do that wiht GBA.

OMENs,N-Gage games will not work on other Series 60 phones.Emulation would be possible but in order to emulate something you need stronger hardware,a lot stronger,say 5-6 six times and the original.The 3650,7650,6600,SX1,D700 are not stronger then the N-Gage.

I got mine 4 free! on a voda upgrade, And it rocks! Not gonna throw my GX10 away yet though as the N-gage is sure to make you look stupid whilst talking on the bloody thing! :)

i think this has already been answered, but i couldnt find tha thread, dude do you or anyone know if the actual loudspeaker on the phone is stereo, and if so it would probably be heaps louder than a normal 3650 speaker hey?

oh my , where else u expect it to be stereo, the earpiece? of course its the ngage speaker, and tt doesnt mean stereo is louder than mono. as for the volume part, i tink ngage is louder thou. much clearer i might add, 3650 juz sux in mp3.

but you can take photos with a N-gage.... haven't you heard of a bluetooth camera? Imagine, the best mobilephone/gamedeck and it takes photos! just try one and see... by the way I have a 3650 and waiting for xmas to get a N-gage.
