Formate 9210i

Hello everybody,
i wanna ask a question 'bout Formating ... is it possible 2 formate my Nokia 9210i by myself with the CD included with the phone ??!! ...
i'll need any other tools out side the cd ??!!
and how to make this formating ... i mean steps..

... i'm makin' this 'cuse some addon application always hanging and not working propaply .. so tell me is it a good idea or there's a better??!!!

Search the forum there is a thread which explains exactly how to do this.

It involves rebooting the phone and when the nokia hands appear press Ctrl, shift and F, or something like that.

The phone will then ask you if you what to format

i've formated it and it's doing just fine but ... when i tried to send a sms message ... i received a message says ... Not found .....

what i've make wrong?! i don't know ...

After this i've reformated it again .... but the same problem i found ...

Do you get this message striaght after you format the commy, or after a bit? Try running messaging straight after a clean format see if it happens? or straight after a format if it still happens try deleting .ini files (ctrl+shift+i) see if that fixes it.

I'm sure that the firmware installation does not work properly since the problem occurs after reformatting n reinstalling the firmware.

It would be better if you install the latest firmware (All_Nokia_*.sis) that could be downloaded from www.nokia.com.

All_Nokia_Software_*.sis is NOT firmware. It is software. Firmware is built into the ROM drive of the coomy.

But

I think that you are in the right area, it seems that the firmware has been corrupted for some reason or other, and the only way of fixing the firmware is either take it to a nokia service centre and ask them to flash the fone for you, or find someone with a flashing box (dont know its proper name) who has the firmware and flash it yourself.

You are right sector_1. It is a software package that contains all basic applications so you do not need to install them separately on to your device.

I had the same problem. I just reformatted my device n installed the All_Nokia_*.sis downloaded from www.nokia.com. It worked..
