When u install a trial proggie....and then un-install or dump it later...like most of us do....does it delete all files...or leaves some orphan filz on da fone?
In my last fone, I had installed alot of proggie's n then un-installed them but somehow my fone memory usage always showed high...whereas not many proggie's were remaining on da fone.
Do we really get all da space back after removing da proggie's???

code doesnt format mmc, mmc must be formatted before you do fone otherwise your fone wil freeze when you acess your menu , the only way to then use your phone is to throw away your mmc or find a way to format it in maybe a digi can or a card reader

When I had the firmware 2.5 I've runned the *#7370# code without format the MMc and the phone works correctly !!! When I've had upgraded to firmware 3.16 if I put a mmc don't formatted the phone crash !!!! why ?? anyway I think is bettere the version 2.50 is a bit slower but it seem bug free; with the 3.16 i've got a lot of trouble (recently the speaker work and not), sometimes don't recognize my SIm !!!!! and it gives a lot of system errors!! I'm thinking to get back the phone to the nokia point i'm very bored!!

WOW...now dis is da 1st feedback I've seen against da 3.16.
I thot 2.54 was da worse and planning on an upgrade.

Yes seems strange also to me... all the people that has the 3.16 are happy with it.... anyway I think that all these error where made by doing an incorrect upgrade... and probably because of the incompetent people that work in the shop where I went for the upgrade ! I noticed also that the camera makes unfocus pics....... probably on monday I'll go to another shop that is a nokia service point, they will hold my phone for a week but I know that they works fine !! (I used to go there for the Sw upgrade of my old t68 ! and all works fine for 2 times!)
howevere I suggest you to upgrade to 3.16 i think that the software is faster than 2.50!!
anyone has tryed and think that 3.16 is faster than 2.50 ???

Symbian almost works like Windows. If you install a trial app on windows, then uninstall it before it expires, thinking that it will reset the time, that will not happen. Because those little suckers allways leave an *.ini or a *cfg, or even a data file somewhere on windows folder telling that that app has been installed before.
The same happens with Symbian phones, the apps leave a file somewhere in the System folder. Some apps leave a file in the Data directory, others leave on the root directory, and others leave those files on the dir they where installed to...

Just made the upgrade today, and the error messages that show up are because i haven't uninstalled the apps before the upgrade, wich i should of... Now all i gotta do is install all the apps back on to get it normal...
