3310 - 6.07 Flash

Hi,

I've had my 3310 flashed with the latest software, version 6.07, but I cannot see any changes.
I think the following changes should have been made:-
1.Fading led's
2.Start-up logo 3D (like 3410)
3.Fonts changed
4.New bars for signal and battery

But none of these look any different from the old software version , 4.19, are the above changes confirmed for the 3310?
I got it updated by an Nokia Repair Center, would this make any difference?

The reason these things aren't implented in new software versions, is that it wouldn't be fair to people who don't have this new flash.

And it doesn't make any difference where you flashed it.

A nokia service centre would be flashing a clean flash. I.E. No modifications.

You need to flash modified flashes to gain the features you mentioned, but you would need to do this yourself.

Hear Say Factors must have lead you to that kind of information. What they did to your phone is really a software upgrade. And the features you are looking for can be found only on modified versions of a nokia phone software... Upgrading to 6.07 don't make any difference on how the phone screen will look. But there is an improvement when it comes to previous firmware bugs, functions etc. and of course NOKIA will never release higher software versions if there is NO difference between lower versions and higher software versions. Often times people thinks that if they have different phone screen look they think that their phone already have the latest software version. (although it's NOT, depending on what version did the author use to design his flash).

Two Types of Upgrade:
1. Upgrade Using Official Firmware Release - Placing a Genuine Software update (original released by nokia) on your phone (no phone screen changes but have software improvement and bug fixes)

2. Modified Firmware Upgrade - (NOT an Official Release From NOKIA)This could be a flash file that can have a new or a very old firmware modified by a MCU/PPM Editor inorder that it would look very entertaining or impressive. People thinks that this what they call the phone upgrade, its NOT a software upgrade but it is more of a software modification. (It may be considered an upgrade if the author used a NEW official firmware release by NOKIA)

Now, you know that what you are looking for is a modified firmware version.

Cannot avoid mentioning that one, I've seen even my own MOD used on a cellphone service center here use my MOD and aasgardro's MOD.

Looks like the attached file was taken away already... If flash files will only have copyrights (then we ourselves cannot modify it). Anyway, Hopefully there will be a forum created for that and will be entitled (NOKIA MOD's PIRACY) :D.
