Dear Reader,

I bought a nokia 6200 from the US. Using it there AT&T wireless put a Sim lock on it. Later I declared my phone lost. I bought a new Sim card and tried to use it but I could not. I tried using codes but that did not work.

Is this because I declared my phone lost to the AT&T people??

Please do help me out here.

lol, yes if you have reported your phone lost on the AT&T network (or any network for that matter) if will be blacklisted (i.e. barred) on that network - meaning you cannot use it again on that network, until it is unbarred... (by reporting it as found)

Hello,

Thanks for all your help and support. Its nice to know there are people like yourself out there who would lend a helping hand. I am going to give the phone to be unlocked.

Thanks again.

Take care.
