Hi...
I am from India...
First of all...
This is the best forum I have come across!
And I absolutely love this forum!
and secondly...
I wanna know the term *Unlocking*

what is the necessity for unlocking a mobile phone!
(Sorry for being a pain..but I wanna learn)

I own a 7650
and my IMEI # is 350774105737304
my network is AIRTEL- BHARTI TELECOM INDIA (SKYCELL)
[404-40]

now someone please explain...
how to unlock my phone?
and what can I do with unlocking!?
also..do I need the terms like Cables or dongles or whatever?!

there are the codes. type the first one in first and see if it works. u get the p and w by pressing the * button few times. enter the first code without your sim card in the phone and if the first one dont work. try the last one.

Wait! Don't enter all of the codes. IF you enter 5 wrong codes, then the only way to unlock your phone is by cable.

"unlocking" basically removes the sim card lock from your phone. You know when you buy a phone from a network provider? And when you try to use a different sim card, it won't recognise it? Well unlocking lets your phone use any sim card in the world.

Unlocking only works on newer dct-4 models. All older models require a cable.

Look around the forum. Someone has a big signiture about unlocking (you can't miss it) and the link is there.

I think you mean my signature. The way we get the codes is entering you IMEI number and operator code into the software which then generates the codes. But you need a hardware dongle attached to the printer port for it to work.
