Is there a way to tell if a phone has been unlocked, other than by putting in another service provider's SIM card? I have a Nokia 6200 with AT&T US wireless service.
Thanks.

you can tell that a phone is unlocked by calculating codes for it, with network code 00101.
if it isn't locked you will get "Phone was not restricted"
if it is locked you will get "Code error". this one also takes 1 try from your 5.
there is also another option to check if a phone is locked by it's imei, using nokia's database. i've seen someone using this in a forum, to see which network a phone is locked to, but i don't know how he did it.
of course, the easiest way is to insert another simcard in..
