Get ya screen down to the bear minimum and gently pry off the thin film covering it and turn it around so the screen goes dark, next fit back together and vwalla!!!

It looks AWESOME!!

Ive seen them for sale for like £25 - what a rip off! Do it ya self

remove the back coating of the lcd carefully and it will be almost transparent,once u place back your lcd,the lcd holder will give the crystal effect background on your display,

why don't use a high-resolution background image?

Print a nice picture on a transparent "plastic-paper" ("Kopierfolie" in german) in the size of the white background-plastic of your phone and put it between the display and its holder.
Or you can print it on standard paper and replace it with the white plastic "thing".

You have to turn it 90 degrees not simply over it will not work
this is because it is a polarised lens - i did it in physics ;-)

its like rows of lines

and the ones on the screen are the same way (i think)

when you turn it 90 degrees the lines are crossed and thus
it makes it darker and oposite - hard to explain really but thats the theory behind it im sure!

I did it on my 3210 and the two slits at the side caused by it being rectangular - are literally invisible - ofcourse they are simply greeny coloured but it looks overall very good

hmm.. can you do examples to web that every one knows what you mean?

some calculators it had to flip that plastic to make display "negative", ie. dark background and light characters.

inverted lcds, dependent on the backlight (led's), you can have it purple, green, blue, orange etc.

about the picture behind the lcd, yap, you can use transparencies, good thing to have a white backlight(led) to showoff the image behind the lcd, we call it ACETATES.

Sorry these pictures are fairly crap but they give an idea of how they look anyway

In fact my inverted 3210 is pretty much impossible to use during the day so soon im getting those BRIGHT white leds in it to see if that helps :)

lol that's what liam told me. But my calculator is this scientific casio, and the front plastic seems to be stuck to the screen? Should i flip this, or does it have a foil :eek: ?

Hehehehe, inverting LCD is a stone age technology here in the Philippines, we've been doing it for ages. And that goes for the background image too. Not to mention the flashing keypad and LCD lights. All that for a few dollars. :D

i have got my screen ready to take the film off, but i dont know where it is, the back of the screen has got a silvery film on it and the front has got a thicker film on it......this thicker film doesnt seem to come off

for the record my phone is an 8310

has anyone got any photos of them removing this film

I couldnt be bothered messing up my 8310 as my contract only had a month left to run, I decided to leave the 8310 behind and got the new 7210 with a colour screen, i have had it 1 month and 1 day and it is great, can't wait for the camera add on to come out for it!!!!!:D :D :D

Really any other colour than white is not recomended for colour images, although black an white images do work, if u are usin black an white images, try not to get that much black on the image as it kinda kills the display, the text colour bein black an all, outlines are much better, for instance you draw a pic dont colour or shade it scan it an then print it, jus an example, or some of the pics you can get off the disney website that you can print an colour in.

halo guys, i have a new trick to make the inverted lcd more cool, how bout instead the color of the lcd is something purple or blue, u can make it green or orange without changing the color of the backlights..just simply place a scotch tape on the lcd film and wallah... its done....or make a unique design on the film something like a puzzle, theres a part of it thats inverted and some are not,....just cut and paste folks...its very simple but you should have lots of gots to do it... instead also of placing the film back to the lcd cover, u can have it paste on the fone front cover or to a customize eyeglasses so that ull be the one to read ur fone secret messages ... just make a security pin code on your sim or delete watever secret messages in your fone....

Is this the flash file that DarkPower modified with the 8910 menu graphics.

i had a look at the menu graphics when he modified the 3210 flash an they were very good,

but when i d/l this file when he first released it, i could not preview the graphics in PPMEDIT or FLSEDIT..

You don't really have to change your leds.. people just do that cause the picture in the screen is better seen with brighter leds..

and its a hell of alot easyer than fitting leds

jus if u have a 3310/3210 its a bit harder cos u gotta snap off 2lugs that hold the screen on fitt the acitate then remake the lugs(heat up with soldering iron)

i have reversed many screens py peeling the film and then rotating it 90 degrees

it is a bit tricky but it looks so cool at night

its better if you use a knife to gently lift the film off

try not to bend the film too much because this will mark it

use deoderant to help you to remove the glue and make it look better

the film on the front and back both come off
the front one is simpler to do and put back together but the back one looks better

to do the back one you might need to remove the silver sticker from the back but this makes the display even harder to see in the day

the best way to fix this is to cut a small piece of anti-static bag as it is reflective but light tlill shines through it!!!!!!!

There are two kinds of plastic u can put in your lcd.

Hologram and Acetate...

Hologram- its like a sticker, just put/stick it on top of your lcd and
thats it.

Acetate- actually everybody can do this as long as you have a
printer. u can use such plastic like the one using in the
projector. Now this one, just put it under your lcd and u
have now a background.

Bonus: the one that crystalize the LCD, we call it here MATRIX.
I tried it already on my 3210, 7110 and 5110,6150 but for
me 3210 is the best co'z u can see the whole ic, board
and many things. But be sure that your cellfone has blue,
green or white backlight or else its hard for you to read.

i have tried here for 3310....

i did the same thing in inverting LCD's. i scratch off the film (filter) i turned it around and rotated it until the display goes blue......


----as additional thing to make it more beautiful.. i inverted the LCD again using the G3nolite patcher.....
