Motorola TDMA

I just have a quick question about Motorola TDMA phones. Does Motorola put a SOC lock on their phones to lock them to networks like Nokia phones? I am needing to change some TDMA phones from one carrier to another, but I am unsure if I should just program the NAM and the IRDB. Do I need to flash/flex TDMA phones to unlock them? I have all of the necessary equipment for flashing/flexing (Dongle, Minichabs, and a Junior Board) but I haven't worked with TDMA phones (at least not Motorola TDMA). If anyone has any information they can share about Motorola TDMA, please post it here. Thanks.

you do have to unlock the soc code in order to make the phone work on a different carrier -- each carrier has thier own soc code in TDMA
