when sending a text on a 7210 it copies itself to the sent item box is there a way to stop it doing so as its annoying me

U can with the 6610 by doing this, go2 message settings then multimedia settings and then switch save sent messages to off, i would have thought the 7210 would have this feature too.

doing what you said yes you can turn this off but its only for mutimedia messages not text

3300 has a diffrent feature where you can overwrite the sent items so that you dont have to erase the sent message everytime the full message box appears. It automatically erase/overwrite the sent messages whenever the folder becomes full.

on my 6100 if you go to Messages>Message Settings>Text Messages and set overwriting in sent messages allowed, will that just fill up the sent messages to the limit and then just overwrite them? Other than that just clear out the folder every week!

Yep if you set your phone to allow overwriting, it will overwrite the inbox/sent folder if it reach the message limit. This is very convenient coz it will erase the oldest message first and you wont be clearing out your folder every week.
