Please help when I try to patch rythimic light or Run Script or Fade LED`s for new 33xx, on 3310 flash(and 5110 too) I get
error message X:\public_html\nokia\g3n0lite\asm.c:940 unassigned function
What does it mean?

i patched my flash file with genolite v1.6 "slideshow" and patched it again using genolite v2.0 both "slideshow" and "intro". i noticed i have now three different bitmap animations. one is when i turn on my phone (this is what you call "intro" perhaps???) another is when i call 0x0b64 and the last one is when i call the "run slideshow" command as generated by genolite v2.0 (5E0 ID# DA | Run Slideshow
found 0032 bytes for function own_do_intro at 0x00131050
- bl: 00131054 -> 00130A08: F7 FF FC D8
- bl: 00131060 -> 00131004: F7 FF FF D0)

you can edit "0x0b64" using slids and the other two using slidetweak.

i have no specific question. just my own little observation....

of course: clock is set and menus are injected and set.

Hi Guys!!!

I have all (Most) of the functions from G3nolites V2.0 Working 100%.
The only problem i get is a limited amount of menus you can make.
The other thing is i dont get the multiple menus from g3nolite to work.

If somebody could please be so kind so as to please give me a little more details on how to create the extra menus and how to switch between them.

The other thing i noticed is that on the nokia 8250 the clock by kristy does not come on. is there some patch for it?

its works well at first but then when i turn off the phone and turn it back again, the clock wont appear!

i saw a phone with krisha's clock working well.

U've really did it this time! the g3 script and all.

I've tested some of the functions and patches. They all worked fine with my nhm-5 v6.07_7bars flash, except for the netstrength. I got errors 1st but when i used the reserved PPM space, everything went fine. my PPM with the CODE chunk doesnt work with PPMMaker but it works well with PPMManager by Vanov.

BTW, does a 6.13 firmware for 3310 exist?

Maybe someone knows, why the krisha's dataviewer patch doesn't work as it should on my 3210. This concerns only controls:

At me:

4 - for a short help & copyright
0 and 6 - to subtract the decrease value from the actuell position
9 - to add the increase value to the actuell position
5 - to multiply the increase/decrease value with 2
and no key to divide the increase/decrease value by 2 !

It should be:
5 for a short help & copyright

7 to add the increase value to the actuell position
3 to divide the increase/decrease value by 2

Any help?

3. press run script
4. choose 33xx new and change the safe RAM (at the bottom part) to
00100014 as suggested by g3ggo and nokdok
5. choose the right phone type (i chose 28 since my phone is 3310)
6. choose 2 since i wanted additional background for my analog phone
7. save the script generated by genolite when patching krisha's clock.
use this to make your own menu (5e0 table)
8. continue with patching your menu structure.
9. save your flash file then check your flash file with chkfixer by joox or
any other similar program.
10. flash it to you phone!

if u mean the asm code, the BL @blah refers to the function "blah"
this function has either to be created by the .gsc with CRE: blah = func_123 which will create the [code]-block func_123 as function blah
(i prefer using the same name for the code chunk and the function name..
so the [code] chunk with name func_123 gets func_123 with CRE: func_123 = func_123

Thank tou, i managed to make all the funcs working using the 8210 PadStr. But i also added the '14' from 3310 string onthe same position

Now all the funcs work according to those buttons:
4 - short help and desc.
5 - offsets up
0 - offsets down
6 - multiplier _down_
9 - multiplier _up_
* - exit

So it looks like this:
PadStr = "FFFFFFFF090807FFFF05FFFF03FF01FF14FFFFFF" 'for 3210

(i had to add it instead of the end of getkeyv2 function, yes? i did so.)

Just a little comment, the keys used should be 1/7, 3/9, 5 for info and 8 to escape/ stop.

But U could study and arrange Ur own keypad layout.

As demo, a 3210-600:

At ram 0011245A (use hexviewer!) is a value which gives U the true returned keypress value.

That numbers corresponds to a sequence number in this conversion string.

3E191A170C3E180A0B063E010304073E02050809 (location 002E2D6C)

In most Nokias this is always a reserved 25 key possibilities.

The 3E's are unused keys, while there is no hardware for it.

Per type of phone, the keypress values differs, so also the conversion strings will differ.

Ur task is 1st to find out the sequence numbers of te original keyconversion.

Then U can reconvert that data to Mr. Krishas added keyconversion function in the gsc script.

Actually, U need them both to match the correct keys to get the proper result.

Which means for every phonetype (keylayout) is a seperate gsc patcher needed.

Just a general tip: Beware on using the Ok, Call and EndCall buttons while doing the hexviewer, since the phone is also still running in background!

I finally figured it out... sounds dumb but i loaded the hex contents of the [CODE] in WinARM and i finally saw how the bl's, cmp, etc. behave. I guess I need more knowledge in asm... ;) thanks g3.

- i think phone choice menu on g3n0lite v2.0 after we click "Patch" button doesn't has a meaning, i've compared flash file (e.g 3310 5.57) that patch with 3310 old/new,8210,5110/6110/6210 options will have same result in g3n0lite text box.
- I've tried on 7110 i think the patch that work is just Rhytmic Patch (only rhytmic i have to choose so i can't add menu to enable/disable rhytmic command)the others didn't work

6 addresses: these are the avaiable menu root offsets... via the 5E0 IDs created by "Multiple Menus" patch u can select one of them.. but dont forget to place a selector in every of your menu trees! lol

And its a pity u will discontinue g3n0lite... But we are always thankfull to u for tour great work.

The same to me..... (5210) my phone reset after press the menu key

Fade LED's patch works great on my 3350 and is not causing slowdown. But Invert patch uses a lot of CPU time (see g3gg0's post). I think that's because 3350 has larger screen than 3310 and this patch probably just inverts screen pixel by pixel before it is written to screen RAM.

Just in case someone's interested. A script thanks to which you will be able to use \x?? codes in '+add_text' directive. If you need some special unicode characters (like I did) it's for you then :). It does the same thing as my program FixStrings but it's smaller and easier to use (simply apply this patch after writing your menustructure).

i try patch 3310 06-07 (7 bar by Nokdoc) with g3n0lite (rhytmic,invert,fade,intro,slideshow,viruz,multiplemenu,clock by krisha, AND change the intro with demo_intro.gsc (19 frame)) it works 100%, then add my language text and change the original ringtones (now i call it PERFeCT)

but now i cAN'T ADD START/SHUTDOWN TONE WITH SECTONE FREE VERSION AND i can't add all new 5e0 function with menu cause in g3n0litev2.0 text was limited, i have try to export the menu structure and edited with notepad and write to flash but doesn't work. i'm sure that i have insert correct of command/value/counter of menu and result in g3n0lite v2.0 was like this:

but what i get is g3n0litev2.0 now can't read my menu structure anymore perhaps it too much of menu, and i think this can be fixed with make multiple menu but until now i can't add multiple menu. always get nothing. this is my step to make multiple menu:

1.open flash in g3nolite patch with multiplemenu option and 5e0 function. and save
2. read menu structure in g3n0lite
3. e.g i want to make new root menu just like the original but without phonebook, so i
delete this

SOME TIPS AND TRICKS FOR EVERY ONE
1. try to patch your flash file g3n0lite v2.0 choose patch option that you like (Netstrengt,Netgraph,fade,invert,rhytmic,vibra,multiplemenu,intro,viruz,create 5e0 function) but with conditional term below:
- for 3310/3330/8210/8250/5110/6110/5510 (you may choose all of Option except "netstrength")it wont show you an error screen)
- for 3210 (you may choose all of Option except "netstrength" and "FADE LED'S")
- for 3350 (you may choose invert, fade,vibra, multiple,viruz,and 5e0 function)
- for 7110 (just choose rhytmic option, cause 5e0 function doesn't work so we can't control it by menu but it's okay cause Rhytmic will automaticly in "Active" mode so at least we can enjoy it)
- for 6210/6250 (just choose invert,fade, rhytmic,vibra option, cause "5e0 function doesn't work so we can't control it by menu it's okay cause Invert and Rhytmic will automaticly in "Active" mode so at least we can enjoy some of them)
- for 6150 may be it same with 6110 cause i don't have this flash file in my HDD so i can't test it.
2. If g3n0lite v2.0 show "Please Choose Model Of Phone" screen, just choose any kind of it doesn't matter (e.g. your flash 3310 VXX.XX you can choose 3310 old/new,5110/6110,8210,or 6210 option, but you have to change SAFE RAM value to "00100014") it will work, and the result will same and most working

3. now open 6210/6250/7110 flash file, check patch option ((just choose invert,fade, rhytmic and vibra for 6210/6250, i suggested to choose invert and rhytmic cause it automaticly in active mode and if we want fade effect use nfader. and just choose only rhytmic led's option for 7110) click "patch" button and choose anything model of phone, change SAFE RAM value to "00100014 and press "Ok". wait for a second and BAAAAAAAAANG........ it doesn't show error screen and result in text box doesn't contains ERROR anymore:

After i patched the flash (3310,8210,8250) with rithemic led and everything is OK.
only after i keylock the phone ,when the lights is out,
but when you press any "NUMBER PAD" the light will light up it will drained battery very fast.
Original flash only light up when press (MENU *)
How to overcome this problem??

Look this problem happens to me after editing my 8210 flash file with MCYtools..I think you should start with a new clean flash file because I am sure that this problem is not from G3n0lite

i tried your instruction for 6210 but blinking won't work (only invert is working).

try reading from the first post of this thread. youll start to comprehend things. i have posted a tutorial and many people have thanked me so it means that the tutorial worked. read it again and try. and please ask specific questions so you can get specific answers.

it means you do not have enough spac. this usually happens when you have a fully modded/modified flash file. try starting from scratch.

Multiple:[/B] just paste the menu in the textbox, do FORCE OFFSET and enter a free address in root menu offset box.. then write... now g3n0lite writes the menu out of the textbox. the address u have to place in the table is the root offset of the menu
6 addresses: these are the avaiable menu root offsets... via the 5E0 IDs created by "Multiple Menus" patch u can select one of them.. but dont forget to place a selector in every of your menu trees! lol

After patching look for:
found 0024 bytes for function own_menu_table at 0x0012C018
Open this file in a hex editor of your choice and look at this address
for the chars "[Menutable here....]". Replace these bytes with the root menu
entries you will or already have created with g3n0lite's menu editor. Right
before the text, you will see the ORIGINAL root menu entry address. This is
the DEFAULT entry that will be selected if it could not read the correct
bytes from EEPROM.
Please switch 5E0 table patching so you can access the menu selections.


anybody who succesfully patched their fls with multiple menus?
i dont know why cant i switch to other menus... the address / offsets are correct... the 5E0 ID# (based on the generated log) inside the menustructure are correct.

it seems that the only working menu from the six addresses is just the first one (or the DEFAULT?)... what else could be wrong? is it the offsets from the menutable that couldnt point where the other menustructures are? or is it the 5E0 ID# that cannot call the command to look for the offsets?
or could it be just because im dumb :-? hehe!

based on what i read from the instructions above, what i did is almost same with Ti_mang. (s tagalog.....para na din akong timang...heheheh!) ;)

If you're experiencing space shortage, then use PPMMaker to delete unwanted PPM chunks then use g3gg0's CODE chunk. The g3n0lite 2.0 slideshow can't be called using the sim0clock cmd. it now uses 5e0 table to call the slideshow via menu just like in v1.0's 0B64 call value. U can still use slideshow by g3n0lite 1.x to call another slideshow via sim0clock/0B64 cmd, or if you don't like version 1.x's style slideshows then play around with the BL of sim0clock command and redirect it on v2.0's "own_draw_slideshow @ 0x001304F8". I think that's how it works...

I did that with 6110 but after a day or 2 days when I switch it off the switch on I found contact service but when I reset factory settings it works fine but also after a day or more I got the same thing
I made another flash with the clock and works fine .... switch off and one many times and working ok ... after another day when swutch off and then on I got another CS and also fized with restore factory settings

try loading a clean fls
enable MENU DESCRIPTION (maybe FORCE OFFSET as well)
Read menustructure
if the menu names showed correctly (it should, i just did), save it into a txtfile, use notepad or wordpad to edit or create Ur new menustructure and load it back to g3n0lite.

(in case it did not work... i'll send U the menustructure ive read from a 6150 fls, and i think U can already start from it)

the menu itself is read correctly...
just the PPM reading is faulty...
nokia isnt very friendly in compatibility matters ;)
you can ignore the wrong menu names, they are not important

tried this in my patched 3310. It automatically applies the setting as you scroll along. you should have a per page view (0x80) to make it work.

Your 7bars patch works fine but but it lacks "max min current voltage conversion table mod" by nokdoc. that's why the bar drops from 5 to 1.

start from a clean 8210 flash, try patching almost all the functions. Invert LCD, Fade, Rhythmic, Netgraph, Slideshow/Intro... And use saferam 00100014. Or try patching krisha's clock first... One of 'em should work...I just dont remember which... Got my 8210 working now without bugs.

Why is it the Extra menu i made when selected it shows blank screen first, after pressing down button only then it shows the first selection ? The upper menu counter shows 18-0. How to make it after selecting the Extra menu, it automatically show the first selection (18-1). I use the menu display C0.

well well well, g3ggo is great his work is the greatest i can never imagine a person like him does the software perfectly.

Just after having downloaded G2, i modd from morning till midnight and i got it right. Ive got my rhythmic LEDs, invert, clock, all nice gsc are injected in my phone now and i enjoy using it.

A great cheers to all programmers here who did their best and post their works for free, well for those people who keep on asj\kin..... well its time to do your part, g3ggo, nocdok, slikmik, jooks, krizha and everbody who did the great programming must givemn vredits, not stupid repeating questions..... read an understand then do it. the role of the great peop;e are to give us the soft and introduce it. they dont have to teach us how to do it. dont rely on spoon feeding techies. ok...

from what i know after patching multiple menus from g3n0lite, there are other things that must be change within the flash file. i didn't see an explanation about that in your site... have you tried using multiple menus and make it work?

there are lots of cool stuff im planning to do with this patch... i already feel exhausted flashing my phone (it takes time flashing 5210)... too bad i cant even make it work...

just use fls edit 0.4a or any ppm edit tools and add \x01 for blink and \x0A for enter to line

Open yr flash using G3n0lite 2.0. Kill MCU CHK & Kill FlashCheck/FAID if it's not yet done. Check "Rythmic Led's" & "Create 5E0 Functions" checkboxes. Click "Patch", select "33xx new" for model, click OK. Ignore error messages u 'll get. Save the output, u need to now 5E0 id to create a Menu for this function... Dont close G3n0lite.
Open the output file using wordpad and find "5E0 ID". U'll see something like this (don't use this IDs unless u get the same result as mine)

5E0 ID# BB | Rhythmic 0
found 0012 bytes for function own_set_cx_x at 0x0012FFDC
- bl: 0012FFE2 -> 0012FEE0: F7 FF FF 7D
5E0 ID# BC | Rhythmic 1

Back to G3n0lite, select "Menu Structure" and check "Force Offset" checkbox and enter "ENGL" for Language, Click "Read Menustructure"
I add my new "Rythmic Backlight alert" inside "Tones" Menu.
Make sure to add 1 to submenu-counter of "Tones" Menu. Eg of my "Tones" menustructure...

You can copy my "Rhythmic backlight alert" Menu (all in Cyan) and paste it to yours but make sure the char in yellow same to those IDs i've ask to remember before. Click "Write Menustructure". Dont forget to run "fix_5e0.gsc" script before u save your flash. Then flash it.....

Simply write an other one with new root offset or leave the offset just wite a new main menu

The menu image theorically is limited to the size of LCD (3350 is 96x65? or i may be wrong).
If you make the image larger then the display zone, you should also change the zone.

in ModZ the images were 84x48 (LCD 8210 is 84x48),
in Twisted3315 they are 80x25(from 3410).
I made images for 3210 76x22 without changing zones.

Correction: i tried to make 84x40 pics on 3310 without changing zones, and the pics were not showed at all. So the zones have to be modified, when your image exceeds some size limit.

And you'll have to leave some space on the bottom of the screen for the Navikeys labels...

Search for ModZ and try to see its zones...

If i call it via menu it show the hexcode at 200000 but i'm not able to change it so i couldn't go up or down. If i press any number it simply write under the dataviewer screen and do nothing :sad: :sad:

So could somebody help me about it??

I tried to use clock script in g3n0lite, but it didnt work. My menu works properly, i have set the time, date, on -10sec, font, digital, background and it doesnt even work.

I have tried so that:

kill mcu chk
opened clean flash for 3310 5.57 N
marked 5e0, multiple menus, rhytmic, fade, invert
clicked patch
loaded clock gsc
run script
menu structure:
language: engl
read menustructure
-inserted the menu-
force offset-write menustr
save
opened with ppm manager - corrected ppm crcs -> save
flashed to 3310 -> menu working, clock doesnt

could somebody help me?

OK, I've spent literally hours reading through this whole post and reading all the attached tutorials and as far as menus go, i still cannot get them to work :(

I am using an 8210 and was wondering if anyone out there has successfully modified the menus with g3n0lite and if so could give an example or a snapshot of their enu structure. I would greatly appreciate it as there is almost nothing to do with the 8xxx series in this thread!

I dono what's exactly Ur problem, but there's something specific for 82xx or 88xx types, the help texts.

Place a marker on the option box 'Force Offset' and 'Menu description'.

Put 'ENGL' in the language field box.

Then I'm sure it has to work for U too.
