I've been playing around with it and its a very great tool!!!

for those of you who dont have it yet, Well here's an info on it:


In v2.0 many things were added:

- LED fading for common phones (no support yet for 7110 or 3210)
- Rhythmic LED blinking like in 3350 (without hardware modification!)
- Intro on phone startup (sort of like a slideshow as an intro)
- Multiple menu selector (up to 6 different root menus!)
- Vibra Control
- Viruz, sending a character that will lockup other 3310 (only 3310)
- 5E0 Table patcher that allows to call all functions via menu
- MCU/PPM/EEPROM splitting or combining (use the buttons M P E to select
what part u want to save, and check 'merge parts' if u want the loaded
part to get combined wit these in RAM.... try around a little bit!


You'll have to play around with it to get used to it.

Now i have these menus on one of my 3310(15) (Offsets removed)

3 Root menus :)
-> the 1st menutree contains only games
-> the 2nd menutree is stripped of the messages menu, settings , phonebook
-> the 3rd menutree contains all the menus but with a security code :)

I couldn't configure the menus despite of reading the help section. I couldn't understand exactly (maybe because of my poor english). How did you make the Rhythmic Backlight, Invert LCD, Screen Intro and vibration menu? I couldn't understand 5E0 table exactly.

OK, thank you very much, g3gg0. I understood multiple root menus after some hours playing with the proggy. You don't use the menu selector, but it gives you a chance to make the coolest mod. Guess what? It supports 6 menu roots and PPM package B contains 6 languages ;-)

since the address u gave for root menu isnt a valid root menu,
you have to force menu creation there... just a security check

hello geggo mate every time i edit a file i get these errors see attached jpegs allso every time i flash the phone with the modded flash i ether get a blank screen Not even the screen test (first black screen) or it gets to menu hangs and if i press button it resets

Maybe my knowledge is too poor or there is a bug in the sw. (which i dont think).
First, why doesn´´t it work with 6150 flashfile?
I used the choose mobile button from 6110 as 6150 aint listed.
but i think it dont work because 6150 has 2 meg ram=(
so do you know how to fix it...
i tried 8210 button too, as this has 2 meg too, but no luck...
and, there always appears the message "X:\public_html\g3n0lite\asm.c:940 unassigned function"
what to do?

also with a 3210 flash nothing works!
no fading no rythmic blinking, no vibra menu etc...
and yes i used 5eo functions but i dont know how to use it...

With the 05E0 table, U can add calls by adding new records, like as can be compared to adding eg ringtones by adding records to tone tables.

This way U can call Ur new functions from within in eg menu structure:

If you want to view the 5e0 functions that g3n0 created, save the result window to a text file and search in the file for "5E0 ID#".
You want to execute "show slideshow", then you have to find the 5e0 ID. For me, it was 5E0 ID# 102. If you want to insert a command in the flash file, you must enter these values:

0xAAAAAAAA = the offset of the cmd_name value.

It works so:
It locates free spaces in mcu and it creates 5e0 functions in there. Then your flash is able to execute some extra commands like vibra level, enable intro, disable intro... There are ready to be executed, but you have to insert commands in the flash file. Examples:
For my flash file, some of the 5e0 commands were so:

Well, you want to execute enable rhytmic backlights, right? Then you must execute the command EC (Rhytmic 1 = Enable Rhytmic backlights).
For this operation, you should add this command line in genolight:

and i have keyboard auto-keylock on to 15 seconds (thats the about same time to leds turn off) but when keyboard locks, leds is allways turned on.

and if the keyboard is locked, and i press any key the lights turn on and never turn off again.

any suggestion to fix this bug?

I play around this great SW from 3 days non-stop :)) I can't understand multiple menu function, but I'll try to understand it. Maybe Vinny helps me ? More explain...
However, I got bigger problem. g3gg0, I used yours minute beep script in my 8250 (its 8250 v 5.06 with 7 bars by NokDoc), and every minute while phoning, I hear only silent "piiiii" from my phone. I'm sure that isn't "piiii" from phone buzzer or speaker, but from vibra motor. I know that when vibra motor has voltage too low, it work just like that (piiii).
So, could You correct this script for 8250? I know that it works great in 3310 :)
I hope, that You understnad my poor english...

lol!!!!!! i think that is normal for you to see the effect, that it changes(toggled thru invert and non-invert) so if you select OK it will be saved to eeprom(the settings you've just selected)....

unluckily for me i don't have a 3310.... only 3210 :sad: which i think doesn't supported by g3n0lite 2.0

i haven't tested the g3n0lite 2.0 yet, i don't have a 3310. mine is only 3210. sad to say, 3210 isn't supported by g3n0lite 2.0

maybe it's a bug.... with the invert patch...

i have made this using 3310 version 6.07
after a long study
it worked perfectly
but

after a select (exp selecting ON rythmic lights)
i want it go back to sub menu EXTRAS
but in this case it backs to standby screen

and the second is
after selecting one feature
it shows selected values in the sub menu but
when you restart the phone it doesnt seems to show the selected values
in the submenu

any idea??

some softwares are very easy to apply but genolite is a bit tricky.

use DEADBEEF at the first part of your code. it says invalid text id since "invert off" and "invert on" is not yet defined. you have to define it first by using +add_text.

yup! you can use whatever you like (genolite or ppmedit). i use genolite first and so far no problem. doing ppmedit first your menu structure distorted -esp. when changing "language".

I have an old(hw 0820) and a new 3310(hw 1022).

When I used "33xx old" with rhytmic led's, leds were not gone off when the phone was automatically locked the keys.

1022 has a separated LCD and keypad leds, but 0820 hasn't.

in your g3n0lite v2 you put a limit of characters in the text box at menu structure.
if i want to add 20 new menus, for example, it wont let me since the text box does not have enough space to put all the code
i need to delete every spaces, and the text at begginig to allow me to put new code
do you understand anything i'm talking about?
can you fix this in a future release? maybe 2.01 ;)

They are talking about "the status of the last selection". I mean, look at your ringtone. Go to the Ringtones menu, the first menu is "Ringing tone" menu and in the right corner of this menu, your ringtone's name is placed. Understood?

I sent a PM to g3gg0 about the bug in g3n0lite, but he told me that the developing of g3n0lite is done. :-(

when you save your file, its in *.gsc format. like when you save your menu structure. *.gsc is also readable by notepad.

so for *.gsc files, all you have to do is load it. but im sure it will not work if its from other phone since hex offsets are sometimes different.

remove every spaces you see in all text as long as it have at least 2 spaces together

then you should remove every lines starting with a #

this way u get more free space in the textbox

Nop, I knew wrong thing abouit it. "Done" screen can be called putting a (0x1300) instead of (0xXXXX) before the last (0xXXXX).

Example:

Can I study a modified 3310 flashfile with a hexeditor and compare it with a clean 3310 file and than try to export the functions like analog clock, etc to a 3210 file? I know that i can, but will it be succesful?

And is the code for those function similar to all DCT3 fones?

I little found a way to get past the character limit in g3n0lite. Open your fls in g3n0lite > read the menu u want to edit > click the "save" button and save as *.txt > open the *.txt file > edit your menus in notepad then save your *.txt file. once you have done editing go back into g3nolite and read your menu then click the "load" button ,> open the *.txt file you just created it should load the texts from the file into the menus text box once you have don that just click write menu structure

this may be a bit time consuming but it works
plus you have a sort of "back up" if u stuff that fls file

I'm facing this problem too. I'm using G3n0lite v2.0 to patch a 3310 v6.07. Ocasionally, the phone will slow down. It will hang for a few second then go back to its normal operation.

Does anyone face this problem?

Problem of 8210

Hi again! I've got a problem about multiple root menus. I find some free space in mcu, I type it's offset to g3n0lite (to create a new root menu), write the menu structure, and change the bytes before the text [menutable], but when I want to change the root menu, it doesn't change. Where did I mistake?


I also have these procedure of making other menu structure (patch "Multiple menus"), but when I call these "other menu structure", nothing happens, it doesn't switch to the "other menu structure" I have just made. I add these "special menu" (having 5E0 ID for menu #0 & menu#1) common to both menu structures (each with different structures and root entry offsets) in order to switch between them, but it doesn't change.

I tried what u said and it was really giving me vibration instead of the beep but I did not like it as it harmed my ear

so I flashed the mobile with the flash which patched with the normal minute beep script but the surprise was that the mobile is vibrating not beeping

I thought that I made anything by mistake so I repeated it a lot of times and recheck what I did but had the same problem

so I was thinking of a way to solve this problem so I made this:

1-I got another mobile and flashed it with my flash and when I try it I have a beep each minute but when I flashed the first mobile with the same flash I get vibration

2-I flashed the first mobile with virgin eeprom then change imei , sfs and so on but still have vibration instead of beep

3- I got a full backup from the new mobile which works nice with beep each minute and put it on the first mobile but also the same problem it vibrates

4-I flashed the first mobile with clean flash and virgin eeprom then flash it again with my flash but also it vibrates instead of making beep

anybody know what has happened ?

1-use knok and erase the flash file from the fone
2-flash your fone with clean FUBU with a virgin eeprom
3-change imei sfs and so on
4-try your fone now if it is ok no vibra and no beep then tell me

If I flash it with full backup or even with a clean mcu+ppm only
I have no vibration or beep

but whenever I try the minute beep patch I had vibra instead of beep

this is the phone ram region..nothing will happened if you flashed it as it is cleared when you turn off your phone..AL told me this in a topic here before he goes

No, it's not possible to do that with the 3210 -- it's slightly different, hardware-wise.

I have try your progz with my NSM-3DX (8250) PPM L and rom 6 but haven't got lucky yet.
I also notice your warning about selecting netgraph, netbars, intro or slideshow, but the thing is I try your suggestion but still got error (difrent one though).

My question is, are you already aware of that ? Is this in line with previous one ("ERROR: own_get_ram function #1 not defined yet") or i do something wrong (i choose 8 animated arrow up as the signal bar).
At the first time, i assume it is because my 8250 have too small room, but when I try it with clean MCU & PPM (also with and without ppm reserve), it still give me the same error.

My problems with this software are:

1. Is there a way to put unicode characters (I'm from Poland, there are some "strange" chars in my language :)) in strings added with +add_text?

2. I've patched my NHM-5 V6.07 flash with Fade LEDs. When my phone is asking me to input some text (for example when I'm writting a message) and I'll wait 15 seconds (for the light to turn off) it fades but at the end it lights up again and stays like that. I have a "new" 3310 (separate LCD and keyboard LEDs). Anyone know how can I fix this?

So i guess i'm right, that it is a new bug though??? ;)
Hope you can fix this bug soon, cause if i guess it right, it cannot be fixed just by running the right script but it is in the body of the program.

you can study a 3310 file with hexeditor... but it is over 7 kb with graphics...

i already patched my analog/digital clock successful on a 3210!!
i used 5110 or 3310 values. can't remember yet. but it works 100 %!

i have made a script to find free ram address... it confirmed that 0100014 is free on (all) most phones, like g3gg0 said to me before :)

g3n0lite invert is to toggle invert via menu,
my invert patches are to toggle via 2 keys at one time.

1. shortkeymain
2. fastinvert
x. g3gg0s invert (you can patch before or after the other patches)

netgraph is something completely different. it shows the net strenght of the last 84 sec or 2 hours.

i have made a script to find free ram address... it confirmed that 0100014 is free on (all) most phones, like g3gg0 said to me before :)

So we can use the offset 0x0100014 as Safe RAM offset (after checking if there is free space). Thank you so much :)

About the 00100014 U might be right.

But I know a much reliable legal method as guessing.

Use addresses from unused bytes in the RamInit tables.

aaaaaaaa bbbbbbbb xxxxxxxx
a=len of data.
b=ram adress.
x=initialised data.

like:
00000001 0013f800 01C046C0
into
00000002 0013f800 01FF46C0

addr bb+1 (the FF) is now free for Ur use.

Use SaveRam 0013f801 to call Ur Ram.

If U need more bytes, chain some raminit records together and move some of the ram address pointers within mcu calls.

A working demo of this idea is in the invert demo from Mr. Bobl recently.

There is another problem : The clock appears instantaneously irrespective of the time i choose , be it 10 sec, 20 sec......... or anything in minutes.

I got two questions. Maybe somebody could help...

I've wrote a program to do this if it's impossible. Thanks to it you can use \x?? codes (known from PPMMaker) in your new items names. You will find this proggy in attachment to this post.

i didn't want to publish my 3210 file, because it uses an older
patch version with many bugs... in one font is no number 6 etc.

after all i do release my 3210 test file... but only to look

i found and fixed the missing "6" character in the 1st font.

But its rather difficult to compare with an unmodded flash, cause there u have also a netstrength patch and another menu, and other graphics in menu...

And the function IDs are different as in my case when patching with g3n0lite.
In your file: from 7E to 92,
In my clean file after patching: from 83 to 97.

Concerning patching by your script with g3n0lite 2:
using safe RAM 100014
when i try to choose a 5110 setting - the creditz don't have a littl animation.
So i try 3310 setting - it works - i can see the credits.
But when i enter the menus to change animated clock setting - it behaves as it should (exits the menus) but i see no effect - the clock never appears.

Another bug(?)
When i choose 5110 setting and in the next dialog (about new graphics) answer 0 - it shows me an error
if i choose 1 - no errors
When i choose 3310 setting and in the next dialog (about new graphics) answer 1 - it shows me an error
if i choose 0 - no errors

BTW, the first 8 digit values are offsets (where? in RAM?), and what are 2 digits values?

and why are the LCD LED values different from those that shows NFADER?

Hi i found a little bug @ genolite 2.0. If i try to make my own menus (which is very long, about 4-5 +menus) the end of the last two menus are loose. Genolite wont let me to paste any more chars... It has a limit?? I have to make the menus shorter and delete some of them to create those... :sad:

ok, i have a little look into my 3210 clock fls again.
for keypad i used 3310 values (2002a, etc.),
for saferam i used 100014,
and for the disp_msg value i used 28.

save g3n0lite menu output, edit is with text editor and cut the #-lines out, load it into g3n0lite and all things should be right.

After i patched the flash (3310,8210,8250) with rithemic led and everything is OK.

only after i keylock the phone ,when the lights is out,

but when you press any "NUMBER PAD" the light will light up it will drained battery very fast.

Original flash only light up when press (MENU *)

How to overcome this problem??

I patched the 3210 as you said:
3310 settings for 5e0 functions , Safe RAM 100014
then again 3310 settings - IT WORKZ!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then i tried patching other functions:
For now it is possible p_a_t_c_h_i_n_g:
Rhytmic lights (i dunno why? the fone blinks, while it rings w/o any modifications) -> after patching and enabling the fone stops blinking when somebody calls u.
Vibra controls (still see no effect)
krisha's clock patch (works perfectly)
NetGraph (works perfectly)
krisha's dataviewer - seems that control buttons dont work.
Invert LCD - slows down the fone (Pentium 2 > 486) :)

NOT WORKING:
Fade LED's - error 1834: could not resolve branch to lights on in set_lights (this is no branch 22 00)

@for smog, i organized the 3210 clock menu into 5 submenus (timeout,background,clockfont,clockview,creditz), looks nice with my 3210. cut and paste and add 1 only to the root menu counter of your choice. p.s. i didn't include all the timeouts. i love the clock to show up fast (:

can you exactly give the instructions(values of LCD LED,Keypad LED,LED enable output,Pad Columns, etc.) here on how you patched the clock script of krisha on ur 3210 flash file?

it has clock now, I followed your instruction and krisha's.

1. use 33xx old settings and edit only the saferam value to 100014
2. use 3310 display_msg of 28
3. use background bmps.
4. add menu structure of clock, now it ROCKS!!!

ofcorse you are right as g3 adds the new menu name in the MCU area not in the ppm so i think it is not possible to do this..

when the clock screen saver is activated
sometimes when anybody call I can not c the name or the number at all
just c the clock and hear the ringing tone
and some other times just part of the name or number appear and the rest is covered by part of the hour

I have also those problems on 3210 v.5.36.
I just think its a bug (or a feature :) ) of the patch. Its something in the own krisha's instruction of drawing on the screen that interferes with nokia's onscreen drawing... IMHO

it's quite normal...
difficult to abolish such things, because i don't know nokia's refresh screen routine. the clock knows when a caller is ringing or menu is active, but sometimes the clock knows this too late...

I noticed somthing
when patching 3330 with the clock patch
the seconds cursor movement is not normal
it does not move 60 times per minute but less than this
may be 40 or 45 movement (I tried both 33xx old and 33xx new)

i dont know for sure. all i know is that it turns off the lcd but phone keeps working. to turn on/off lcd u have to press * key and one configured key.
