View Full Version : 8210 flashing probs...HELP!
First of all I’d just like to say hello to everyone on this very informative forum, keep up the good work people. :)
Ok now for the problem.
My M8 has asked me if I can fix his 8210 that won’t switch on, he was given the phone in this state.
This 8210 won’t switch on so I thought I would flash it by using rolis 477 with a full back up I made from my 8210.
The phone starts to flash ok but then a message pops up that says:
“Flash Erasing Error
Must Receive 91 00 FF But Received FF FF FF
Check Vpp, Vbatt Voltage, Phone Type”
I have tried different flasher programs but none of them will do this phone.
Can anyone explain how to sort this.
Thanks, CoCo.

hi
it could be that the connection to your fone-----1- the contacts may need cleaning----2-or sometimes the plastic bit which holds your battery is not seated right into the fone i have had this prob myself a few times wen flashed i just held the plastic connecter tight till flash finished a little arkwerd but it worked!!
hope this helps
regards

Hi thanks for the reply,
I have tried cleaning the contacts & holding the connector but still no joy. :(
I can flash the eeprom area & the PPM area ok it seems to be the MCU area (00200000 – 00340000)
This is when I get the message as in my first post, it pops up at 00261000.
I tried using “KnocK” to flash the MCU area as it has a function that allows you not to erase the area before flashing, but still no joy. :(
Cheers, CoCo.

Hi M8,
Just to let you know that I gave up with the phone eventually & gave it to my M8 who used it for spare parts.
