i made a flasher cable (using 74HC14) for my 3310 and it has been working PURFECTLY everytime for about a year, now i have a 8210 aswel, i got a adapter to use my flasher with and it wont work!

it says 'please turn phone OFF before flashing' even tho phone IS off, sometimes it even saids it when it isnt plugged in?

or it says 'Preloader boot error' and down the bottom of rolis 'Wait for boot counter accept (Phone TX=High)...'

also when i connect the phone to the cable, it makes a little 'click' sound from the speaker??? my 3310 doesnt do this....

i have tired all versions of rolis, including 5.14, also tired knok, but that doesnt work aswel.

i tired on 98 machine, and on my XP box aswel.

i dont understand why it works fine with my 3310, and all im changing is four wires at the end of the cable, they are no electronics in the 8210 adapter, its just the plug! it should work!!!

tried my friends 8250 and i have the same problems

please help me!!! maybe 8210 needs more power for flashing, like external power supply?

fixed the problem!!!!

i wos using a pinout from a picture i found on the internet (for 8210), and it had the TX and RX around the WRONG WAY, i wonder if this can solve anyone elses 'boot loader error' type messages.

I get this error all the time on my 8210 but eventually with enough patience I will be able to flash.

I think it is something to do with my phone as I can flash another 8210 without any problems first time, everytime.
