8310 problem

hey i know this guy sellind a 8310 he says when he puts a vodafone sim in it it just says please insert sim. what do you think is wrong with it i was thinking it was just locked to another network what do you guys think. thanks in advance

No, it's not just locked! It would say rejected! Try a different operator first before you buy it, and also try cleaning the sim contacts!

well, place the sim card properly. it displays tt msg cause it did not detect the sim card.
