Hi ppl... Umm i've got a bt of a problem,.. You see i'e been having free messaging for the past 2 years now, n i've become a totaly SMS freak, n kinda addicted to it.. a long time ago, when i had a 3330 i used the "sim clock stop" trick to get free sms, when i got my 7650 i jst slid my sim card in n didn't have any problems with regard to messaging (no charging still)., however now sms's are beginning to get charged n debited to my account.. I'm only 18, m going to University n got a part time job, so i cnt really afford all those SMS bills.. any idea's on how i can keep having free sms..? I've tried putting the sim card in a lower phone model n doing the sim clock stop trick again, but it doesn't work (the sim clock stop thingy doesn't work on the 7650 . i.e. you can't enter the code). Any ideas..? maybe some1 has a rogue MEssage Centre number which they can tell me about...?
Cheers

You should maybe try getting an unlimited gprs package, then you could send free texts from a website using a browser.

wot is the sim clock stop thing
is it a code or summin ??????????
Mr. aussie,
may be you should look over the Net for such " codes ", as you said. Probably there are some communities that are working on such " problems ". However, people who do SIM cards cloning probably know how to. Just look around - I really don't know. ;)

sim clock stop code *#746025625# :p
Yes, and that code is really related to whether or not your operator charge you when you send SMS. Nokia is so smart! Programs a code into the phone letting you send free sms!

You're right it doesn't work on the 7650 or 3650, if you wanna try it out n see if you can get free sms, try putting your sim into a lower cell model, maybe the 3330, or 5210 or 8250 etc.. well I think this is a rumour but i heard that this is how this trick "USED" to work.. Wen you send an SMS, your CSP (cellular service provider) charges you accroding to the time the SMS was sent, this code manages to stop the SIM clock so no time tag is sent along with your SMS message, thus you don't get charged.. It doesn't work anymore, CSP's have woken up.. Lol ,gotta find some other way guys!!!!! lol
Cheers
