can anyone tell me when the single beep is selected for message alert tone the phone emits a strange croaking sound. I know of other people with 3510i who have the same problem. sw version is v4.01 i believe the sw has just been upgraded to v4.41 is it worth upgrading or is it not worth it. TIA

you may have your phone set to Discreet thats why your getting that croaking noise

Hi.
My 3510i has Version 04.01. There are problems with Version 4.4 that seem to be more trouble than it is worth.

I'll check with my local Nokia Service Centre to see if they have the update, but last month they were still officially using 04.01, because I requested an upgrade after learning about it.

Thanks. got an email from nokia that says the latest version is v4.44 but if thats got more bugs then i wont bother.

Version 4.44 does have bugs in it, the first one people notice is the yellow colour on the display. Other problems reported are on the Phonebook and Organiser.

Software Updates are free of charge from your local Nokia Service Centre.
