I bought LEDs into my 3310. They are blue 0805 type.
The original LEDs in the phone are 3,5cm long, but these 0805 are only 2cm.
My question is:Did i become LEDs 0805?Because The original are much bigger like 0805.
Can anybody help me?

Yes, it is possible but itīs a little bit harder that with original ones.

I have noticed that blu-tack(the blue one with which you stick papers to the wall or something) is very good help tool. Put a little ball of it on the table and the place the ledīs hole over it. The blu-tack holds led down when you solder it because hole is a little bit too big.

Hope you get my point. :)

And sorry for my english...

no problem with that. but notice how your battery reacts to it.

@hammer

0805 LED's are small but u can still solder it without any problems. thats if you dont have any hot air soldering machine. all you need to do is connect a horseshoe connector sold at all electronic shop and wrap it around the tip of you soldering iron. i have a picture of it somewhere but i havent found it.

a horseshoe connector has a "U" tip at the end. with this you will be able to heat the LED's at both sides instantaneously. get what i mean? remember not to add any lead anymore.

small LED's - less power
big LED's - more power

battery easily discharges but it doesnt matter anyways unless you travel a lot!

Today i soldered these LEDs into my phone. It was hard, because the wholes were much bigger than the LEDs.
Blue 0805 are very good!I have transparent faceplates,so in the dark its wonderful!!
But i donīt know the voltage the LEDs working on!Will my battery stand for shorter time than with the original LEDs?

natnat...size has nothing to do with consumtion.....It depends on the cristall inside....noting more than just a thechnology....

I use 0603 for all phones, including the 33xx and 62xx! Even though they are tiny, I just build a solder bridge, connect the led to it, and then finish the other side! I use small tweezers to hold the led! I also use the horseshoe technique, but I made my own from a car audio connector! The final result is the led suspended over the whole! With a bit of practice you can get this running really quick! I can do a 33xx in about 10 mins, and a full 82xx in about 4! Here's the link: http://nokiafree.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15296

Who blows up phones? You'd have to be some man to be that bad with a soldering iron! A 4 year old could do it with practice! I have successfully done close to 500 phones, never blown one up, had one that wouldn't turn on, but that was solved after I found an accidental solder bridge! It's really easy! Use the tecnique I described above!
