why does everyone insist on posting things like:
"whats better, cable or infrared?"
they are the same!!!
i have both and they both do the same, i never have any problem with either, apart from the cable is harder to set up!

Hi there :)

If you are sick of others posting, why do you bother then..? There ae many users who don't have either, like myself, and having to buy something always asks for "There is two choices, which would be the better one?" because nobody wants to end up having spend money only to find out it doesn't work...... like it happened to myself.

You know, there are computers that don't have IR out of the factory (which applies to almost all desktop machines). Now, users of those have the choice between buying an IR adaptor or that Nokia cable. Both cost pretty much the same, at least here in thailand, and both aren't cheap. So people naturally wonder which one might be better??

I myself have been burnt with IR, i tried it out and i could not get that thing working with a phone! It was not the driver, as some suspected, because i could use it to communicate between the PC and a laptop, yet not any Nokia application would allow me to hook up any Nokia phone....... i tried and tested and did and made, no success. My computer is of that sort, it doesn't like something, so that something just won't work, full stop.

So i would also ask first "Is the DKU-5 any good"........ Apart from that i know to read older threads first :))

Please don't mind those people asking... after all, a forum is there to ask and get answers, right?

its much much faster to transfer things with the cable, than the IR...

why does ppl like you bother to write stupid questions like this...?

look at the things u ask. now these would sound stpid to people who know about these things.....43041 is a classic where u dont know about firmware??!!! but ur quick enough to ask about it

so why dont u just leave others alone and if u dont like their questions go to a "super advanced" forum where no silly questions will be asked!!!
Or better still make your own forum and lets see how many people come to use it :D

this site rules man and its for helping people. your happy to ask for help but understand that not everyone is as great as you LMFAO
