Take out your SIM card, then switch on the phone. It will prompt with "Insert SIM". Type code VERY carefully:

To get the "+" press the * key 2 times
To get the "p" press the * key 3 times
To get the "w" press the * key 4 times

The phone should say sim restriction off, and reboot, then prompt "Insert SIM". Switch it off, insert the SIM you want to use, and it should be fully working with signal.

Thanks for the code.

I tried it, but it didn't work :-(

I made sure it was typed in correctly, and have tried it only once. I have also quadrouple checked my IMEI!

Any ideas?

Incidently, when I put the code in, the message displayed on the screen was "code error" - is this relevant? My software version on the 7650 is 4.46 as well, if that's relevant. Thanks for the help!

the code you were given was correct

make sure it is locked by putting a sim from another network in first...if locked then try

#pw+442447776056340+1#

had a few where it is code 1 instead of 7..
