My 3310 have more contacts in PCB.
Is possible change the keypad and use corect the new keys?
Is necessary modify the flash program (I think).

Thanks for any reply.

Hi,

Yes it is possible.

Eg, I tested swapping key 1 & 3 ok.

Nokia uses one same function for getting keypress values.

A conversion string makes the type dependent translations.

That conversion string has 25+5 spaces reserved.

But not always that many keys, eg I found only 21 at 8210.

Therefore it is even possible to add additional hardware keys too.
(imho, as concerning possible modifications in the file)

Demos for 8210-531:
- 107dbe, the getkeyvalue function.
- 33ee94 & 33ee78, the conversion strings.
(ec208 & 32ef88 for 3310-607)

Now my question for U:

Sure, hw might have such reserved contacts on pcb.

But U think the software is also prepared to use them with the corresponding functions?

I think not, and maybe it is unlogical to have two keys doing the same function?

Though this info might still be very usefull to transfer eg 3310 flashes to 8210 etc....

Later....
