Hi All!
When I got data cable for my 3510i, I started trying all the softwares I got on my phone with it. One such s/w claimed to test vibrator of the phone. When I ran it, it started continousely vibrating the phone. BUT it was the last time the vibrator worked. When I recieve a message, I hear the vibrator buzzing but it doesn't shake the body. Can any1 suggest soemthing.
Thanks

Oh my goodness gracious me!
The fact you can still hear the vibrator buzzing indicates it still works.

It looks like you have had a mechanical failure.
Either a component has broken, or become disconnected.

Either way you will have to take it to a Service Centre or similar. If it is still under warranty you will not be charged. But! Make sure you do not mention you have used a "Non Approved" method of testing it, or your warranty vill be void.

Good luck

Thank you Farsh and James for your suggestions
Well Farsh, so long as the application was running, the phone was vibrating. I had to "End Task" the app to stop vibration.
Anyways! I guess vising service center is the only way to get it working again.
Somebody told me if I reset phone's software it should start working again. What is meant by that? and how can i reset it? Any comments?
Thanks.

Hi again Imran.

There is a way to reset the phone back to "Factory" settings, I'm not sure if this will fix the problem though, as I feel it is a mechanical one.

But, on my 3510i, to do this select Menu, then Settings, then Restore factory settings. (Menu, 6, 7)

If you have selected "Help text activation" it will inform you what it wll do. Menu/Settings/Phone settings/Help text activation (Menu, 6, 3, 7)

Good luck

Hi again Imran.

I saw in another post of yours, you enquired about the "Internal Modem".
The review was not written by a technical person, I believe what he means is the WAP/GPRS facility, likening it to a Radio/GSM Modem.
I bought the 3510i specifically for this feature at a low cost.

Pleased to be of assistance.
