serial cable connection - PC Suite

Hi folks!

Got a 6310i and with it Nokia PC Suite 4.88. The Connection Manager won't recognize my phone plugged. I already did some stuff with Rolis Tools and Logomanager, which both found my phone.
When i plug the phone to the cable while Connection Manager is open, the cursor becomes a hourglass for a short while - but nothing else happens.

I've tried two other versions of Nokia PC Suite (3.0 and 5.1) with no better experience.

Anyone got advice?

In order to use PC Suite with a serial connection, you must select this option during the instalation of PC Suite.

I however would say what could be easier than coinnecting your 6310i via infrared or bluetooth, I've just bought a bluetooth card for my PC, i can't wait for delivery.

Have done this to my PC with USB bluetooth dongle, Had to have the firmware in phine upgraded as early versions only worked with Nokia bluetooth adaptors, the s/w upgrade was free if phone under warranty
