Anybody know is it possible to have more memory on phone?

Now I have 675kb on my 3510i, can I have more?

Hi Farsh.

The memory is at a fixed level. About 900Kb.
It is also Dynamic Memory: Shared between Gallery, MMS, Java Applications (Games)

It is not possible to have more than Nokia designed it to have.

If you delete Games, Gallery etc you can use more of it for your other applications.

I deleted all my games, galery ..., but I have only 670kb.

If it isn't very hard for you open Games -> Memory and tell me plz how much memory do you have!

Hi again Farsh.

When I first got my phone, I had over 640kb.
I now only have left 577kb. The "Games" and "Applications" memory are the same. (Dynamic Memory)

I do not want to delete all the images and tones and games on my 3510i to look at how much more memory it will give me, but even if I did, some of the total memory will be used by other applications.

The figure of 900kb is not official, but another member thinks it is about right. What the memory device is, only Nokia can tell us.

I feel confident that your available memory of 670kb, is the maximum that could be with all gallery images, and ringtones, and games deleted.

Hopefully this is enough for you?

If only we could use the other memory, which is used by the Phonebook and Messages. (Also Dynamic) The total would be 1Mb?
But that is separate. <Sad>

Hi Farsh.

I only know things about my 3510i, because some of the information used in advertising did not seem to be a reality.
So I decided to do some research, and checks on my phone and the software I use, specifically Oxygen Phone Manager II, and Oxygen Ringtone Workshop.

Sharing this information and experience is what NokiaFree is about. <smile>

According to Nokia, 150 Text messages or 50 Picture Images, or any combination. It is supposed to be "Dynamic Memory" as well as the Gallery and Ringtones one.
But I had "Messages Full" when I had only about 50 Text Messages.
Something not quite right methinks?

The Version of my 3510i is 04.01, V 04.44 has bugs in it. First thing you'll notice it the yellow/orange hue on the LCD, this alters according to the state of the battery charge level.
There are also messaging problems mentioned.

My Local Nokia Service Centre, had not been informed of the update from 04.01 when I asked for it a month ago or so.

Ok i have the same memory problem nut have 4.44 and as far as i know 4.41 didnt have that problem so this is very weird now, im strugling my arse of for nokia to fix this problem coz busnises in South Africa doesnt know there own problems and they say there is absolutely nothing wrong with 4.44 but cant explain my problems and still cant fix it but they still wont take some good advice from the customer and downgrade it, the yellow hue ive realised even before o knew about the bugs and believe me its not the only bug, 4.44 is FULL of bugs!!!

There are some talk about a ver 5 coming out but so far it hasnt been officially released
