help getting signal on 7110 :(

ok start the phone up and get no signal whatsoever, ive tried reflashing the phone and updateing faid to no avail, its software ver 5.01.
anyone else got any sugestions?:confused:

water damaged ?

was working ok then just dtopped woking ?

dropped ?

the phone was baught as faulty, you can insert a sim card in it and get a full signal for about 10 secs and then its gone.
i have no idea if it was dropped, but certainly aint water damaged.

first thing id do is change the coax connector for external antenna (car kit antenna connector) and after if that doesnt work the saw filter . black skinny chip (rectangle in shape) youll see it after u take the sheild covers off .

You could also try the 6210 low signal fix as well as this might work as it the same sort of thing.

ok ive tried the 6210 low signal fix and had no success :(
as for the coax connector and the saw filter, i might need more info on these eg 7110 shematics or diagrams as im newish to the circuitry side of the phone, also places to purchase if needed.
