Nokia 6200, was an AT&T phone, going to be used for Cingular
IMEI 351509/00/055514/9
Also, will unocking get rid of the AT&T M-life settings or is there another way to remove those?
Thanks for all the help

Thanks for the quick reply
I entered the code and the display says it is not restricted yet the phone will still not work with my Cingular SIMs
Any other suggestions?

it recognizes the SIM has been inserted (insert SIM message is gone, full power up) but will not allow calls and shows no network signals on main screen
I have tried with both of my Cingular SIMs with the same results
note:
-I have also tried changing the Nokia security level to off
-during power up the aforementioned AT&T Mlife display still shows

I do not have the original SIM, only the two Cingular ones
Can you explain what barred means?

This meesn that the fone can be reported stolen or lost
and the network blocked it

is there anyway to verify if this unit is truly barred? Although the phone was brand new in a sealed AT&T package I understand that it could still be stolen and would like confirm that before starting a dispute with the retailer.
BTW - thanks for all the great info

Just call the network and post your problem the might
tell if it is stolen or not but .....you might loose the fone if it is !!

no...code is correct...might be worth reading it from the phone to make sure it is the right one
I believe the MYKE dtc4 unlocker does this with a data cable
