AIM on Nokia 3595 [Archive] - Nokia Flash Reverse Electronic Engineering

It is my understanding that the Nokia 3595 has a menu number 12 that is supposed to be the "AOL Instant Messenger Inside" application. Can anyone tell me how to activate Menu 12? Or do I need to download tha AIM software somehow?

I got my 3595 back in August, and it does not have this menu you speak of. The firmware is rev 7.20.
However, a friend of mine just got a 3595 from Cingular, and his has the AIM menu on it. When he enters that menu, it says "Opening Application" like it's going to run one of the java games. i've been looking to see if i can upgrade my phone so that i will have that menu as well, but so far no luck. anyone else have any info?

I have a Nokia 3595 from T-mobile. My main menu numbers stop at 11 with "services". However, when I press Menu, and then number shortcuts (pressing Menu, 7 jumps me to games, for example), if I press menu, 1, 5 for 15, or anything above 15, it tells me "Invalid Menu". However, if I press Menu 12 or 13 or 14, it tells me "Shortcut not Available", as if to suggest there is something there that exists but is being kept from me...

I have 3510i and menu #12 is "Services" and #13 is "Sim menu"

I think it depends of Your operator. Because before I didn't have menu #13.

Only firmware ver. 8.12 has the AIM menu option.

Ok, then.... forgive me if this is a n00b question, but... am I correct in assuming it is possible to flash my 3595 to upgrade to v8.12, to have AIM capabilities?
