I also have another 6610 that also has been ingressed{I think they are trying to haunt me!].The problem with this unit is that It will not find a network at all. I removed the p.a. and diplexor, but found a very clean set of pads and i.c.'s.After refitting ,I reflowed the entire board, but don't have signal still .The unit is not transponding at all.I have serviced the antenna points and the antenna proper, but no result. The board was repeatedly ultrasonically cleaned to be certain of removing as much ingression as possible.
Can someone please help-and please don,t suggest a reflash unless you are reasonably sure that this is not hardware based.[this is for all the reflash junkies that seem to have no real idea of hardware issues.Maybe the senior members or techies maybe able to help??]
thanx a heap -fix

Err err, have you tried a new pa, I know you said you removed it and made sure the connections were clean but it may be faulty??
Also it's worth noting that even Nokia exchange handsets because they cannot fix them, I know this sound a bit defeatist but it's true.
But if you do manage to fix it I would sure like to know how you do it.
Best Regards
Mark

Actually mate ,I didn't manage to change the pa[too bloody obvious I suppose!!].I have a prob with accessing the pa for 6610's ,so are they the same as anything else that you know of.As I have no schematics I cant tell as the ultrasonic cleaned off the markings on top.If u could find out and let me know I would be stoked[maybe 3310 or8210??]
regards fix
