A: You can find it under the battery, or by pressing *#06#.

How about 9210 and 9210i?
I know that 9210 is Dct3, but 9210i is a bit Dct3 and a bit dct4 so "hybrid", but what calculation do these need?
Dct3 or Dct4?

that's a hard question... :)

according to the forum sections, the 9210i is in the dct4 category, and 9210 is in the dct3 category. but, we can try entering a dct4 unlock code in a 9210i. if it is dct4 it will be unlocked. if not - it will not accept the last # because dct3 codes are shorter.

but this question is not that important, because in all the time dct4 remote unlocking was possible, i've never seen a single request to unlock a 9210i.

I;ve read somewhere that 9210 and 9210i are dct-L ,so conclusion is that they aren't eiver dct-3 and dct-4

you may lose the ability to unlock it with codes if you enter wrong code more than 5 times.

besides that, it doesn't have any affect on the phone.

Thanks for the reply so soon. I apologise about this if I've made a mistake in posting in the wrong thread. The problem is I have recieved my code and typed it in without a sim card in, and it says 'sim restriction off'. so i turned it off then i put a different sim in but it still says 'sim card not accepted'. wot am i doing wrong? some one said i have only unlocked one lock and that their are 3 more locks to unlock?

Can anyone help please?

Thankyou

With the code I was given in the other thread, i tried changed the last number and when i changed it 3 and then 4 both times it "sim restriction off". So does this mean i have got 3 of the codes or are these 3 just the same?

well, that was a mistake!

you can only enter the code 5 times. after that, phone can only be unlocked by cable. the coude u had was something like #pw+1234567890+1#

and you need someone to calculate you the code #2

if you entered 5 times a code, you can forget unlock by code. only using a cable

lock 3 and 4 are almost never closed, in this case it seems that they were already open, so it does not decrease your 5 tries. however, changing the last digit will not work, you have to calc a code for lock 2, and i don't know if it is possible yet.

Thanks for the info Yotamz. I take the 'codes' are a bit like a pin code then. If you do three wrong its locked, but if you get 2 wrong say, then get the code right, your tries are resetted to 3.

So i might aswell pay for someone do to it?

If something becomes available to unlock lock 2 could you please let me know.

Cheers

i'm not sure if entering the correct code resets the 5 tries counter, but entering the correct code will unlock the phone, so after that it doesn't matter how many tries you have.

you may pay for someone to unlock it with cable or a clip, it shouldn't be expensive.
also, you may get the code from your provider, but it might be expensive, as the priovders don't like people to leave them for other companies. here the providers charge about 30-35$ for unlock.

9210 and 9210i are DCT-3 for unlock!

Use datacable and EEPROM Tools 3.1 or Rolis Tool 1.8/1.9

Hi y'all.

How do I test to find out if my 3210 has more locks active besides lock 1?

The phone is locked to my wifes sim-card. If I insert mine he will ask for the security code. Does this info help to answer the previous question?

Cheers,

MiguelAl

is your simcard and your wifes simcard is from the same provider?
if so, lock 2 or lock 4 are possibly closed.

if not, you can't be sure, and you have to check.
the best way is to try entering code 1, and then try the other simcard, if it is not accepted - lock 2 is probably closed.
you can also type #pw+1234567890+2#. if you get "code error" - lock 2 is closed, otherwise it's open. however, if lock 2 is closed, this code will be considered as a wrong code, and it will take one from your 5 tries.

Tanks Yotamz for your fast reply.

Indeed my sim-card is from the same provider as my wife's sim-card.

So I don't need to bother with unlocking using DCT3 codes wright?

I just got in the mail a mfbus cable do connect the 3210 to my computer's COM port. I also downloaded Noktool 1.8.

Can you see me smilling in the next hour? :)

Cheers,

MiguelAl

Hi,

I am new to the site and a little confused in trying to get my cell to work on another network. I have spend about 3 days going to different retail outlets to see what my options are in moving to a different provider and I think I am down to the following: my Nokia 3390 needs to be unlocked to accept a differnt provider. Although I paid for the cell, I now need to reactivate the simm card before the carrier can unlock the phone.

By word of mouth I discovered this site and I hope I am proceeding according to what I have read so far on the different threads.

In trying to follow the process, my first question is: My network code is 310 followed by 13 two digit numbers. Do I need to provide all 13 numbers in requesting the code. I guess the 2 digit number refers to a specific network geographic sub region ?

Thanks for your help
