Hi there :)

The design you mean is called a "Flip Phone"......

I did extensive research, and i think the informatin you got there is a Hoax. It's only a week till that expected "release date" of those phones, yet there is no information anywhere to be found. Even Nokia's website doesn't mention either 7200 nor 6230. They sure would have it there when they were to intend to launch those phones in 5 days :)

Nokia did indeed sell two models of Flip Phones but exclusively in Korea, and those both were not even produced by Nokia. They just had "Nokia" printed on them, and Nokia acted there as a mere "distributor". Both models were discontinued after very short time due to difficulties with the actual producer.

If something like the 7200 or 6230 would be about to happen, surely informatin about them would leak, as did with every upcoming model way before they were even produced. Just look at the N-Gage or the 6600, or right now the 7600....... almost everyone knew them long before Nokia made it's first official statements.

Kind regards....
Thanh

Hello :)

Well, you say it is "confirmed"... by who? At least not by Nokia.... and they should do it in first place :)

If i were to "confirm" you the launch of the 6x95, which by the way is my own invention GSM-CDMA multi-band/multi mode phone within the next two weeks, i am sure you would believe that too.... right?

Regarding the 68xx series, pictures of a prototype 6850 leaked a little while ago and Nokia went on with lawsuits against websites showing off those pictures, saying that this is "a design study and not even in a testing stage"..... yet people used to "confirm" a "launch date" of that phone, which by the way was a much-enhanced 6800 with camera etc. At least that one was sort of confirmed to exist, with photos etc. Yet there were many prototypes that never hit the market.......

I seriously don't believe in Nokia making flip phones any time soon, at least not on their own, and specially not without any announcement. They sure do test the reactions of the public before they go to waste money on developing a phone which in the end nobody wants to buy......

Let's see if "your" phones make the deadline... if not, what will you give me? Send me a new 6610 please... i miss mine :)

Kind regards....
your Thanh

Hello :)

Yup, you have won. Just good that i did not bet :) To be honest i wonder who is making the flip phone for Nokia? Samsung? We'll see :)

About the 6810, it is merely a 6800 with EDGE, but the 6820 is truly new. That one has been around for a while tough, considered becoming the "6850". Nokia surprises here.... what will the 6850 then be like?

And the 6230 is yet again a re-make of another phone, in this case the 6220 with a few extras. But it certainly looks WAY better than the 6220 :) I hope they are going to make a CDMA version of it (i already considered getting the 6225, which is the CDMA-version of 6220, but with the new design of the 6230, i guess i'll wait for an eventual "6235")

Good work, jjean... please keep me updated on "6235" and "6x95" :)

Kind regards...
