Please help:com 1&com2 prob

Hi

Could u please help me sort out a prob,i,ve been reading the thread on here,how 2 install userport,as i,m running xp pro.Done everything in the bios and copied userport.sys into driver files,everything went smoothly until i pressed com port 1,com port 2 etc,etc and rollis told me that all the com ports were busy,but there is nothing attached 2 them.so please can any1 help,i tried 2 put this in the reply thread on the other thread on here concerning this but it,s not accepting anymore replys..

If it says that they're busy it often means that your still locked out!

Look in the control pannel>system>hardware>device manager> ports>comunications port>

See if the serial port is com1,2,3,4 etc then double click the port and select the right most tab (recourses) you need to copy the recources that are written their down into Userport for it to open them up! on mine its 03F8-03FF!
then click the update button in userport and Done! (or should be)

if they are pussy try to change port numnmber From control panel that is all
