i changed my 6210 to 6250 by flashing mcu+ppm and eeprom (x5fa000), but it kept on freezing. worked nice though could use all the tools on it.

so i tried the full flash that can be downloaded. reception all fine after updating production numbers to the original, but i cant hardly use any tools on it (cant read phone data, eeprom tools says dspA (?) and freezes phone)(some tools may determine the model from imei?)

i took a look in the backup i made from this phone and discovered that the eeprom was based on x5fc000 and not x5fa000 as i expected.

can anyone explain this??

i don't understand what about the x5fc000 but if you refer at adresses take a look on the maping adresses.

the address of the eeprom (not the ppm) seems to be the same when you look anywhere (virgin eeproms: 6210_virgin_eeprom_005FA000.fls and 6250_virgin_eeprom_005FA000.fls ) but looking in the 6250 fullflash downloaded from this forum the eeprom is not at address 005FA000 but at address 005FC000.

why is that?

as the phone must be given its original imei after the upgrade you have a 6250 phone with a 6210 imei. i think this may be why eeprom tools and knok has problems reading the phone, after the upgrade (difference in ppm and eeprom addresses in the two models)

can anyone confirm this?

also, is the imei chained to the other serial numbers in the phone, so they should be set back to the original 6210-values along with the imei?

(sorry if i'm repeating myself, i wanna make it all clear)
