impossible!

your phone could not be damaged with that virus. only when you open that message, it resets your phone but there should be no other damage aside from that. and it could only affect you when you open the message.

all you need to do is put your sim (with the virus message) to a 32XX or 51XX series nokia phone or to a non-nokia phone. then erase the message!

Hi,

Try menu 6-4, reset to factory defaults.

Btw, I think Mr. Natnat is right.

@rico3650

even when that flash file your saying existed (and i hope its really yours), the virus could be sent thru logomanager or other similar SW. then g3ggo introduced genolite v2.0 thats why 3310 has the menu for the virus. but since then, it was clear that the virus cannot damage the phone. when you open the message, it just resets your phone. thats all it!

Mr. Natnat and supermoderator Nokdoc.. so what is the best thing to do? please guide me coz my friend who repairs cellphone already tried his best. Thanks in advance for the help. I really appreciate a lot. I read lots of forum and news online about this bug (virus like) that affects 3310 and my friend already did what we have found online how to fix but with no luck.

In addition:

I read from other forum that for some cellphone it which was recieved this virus like sms... After deleting the sms itself and or taking off the battery... the symptoms still exists ( Restarting every 5 minutes or so then turn off itself... and its hard to turn back on again )...

Mr. Rico3650,

I know bout the g3n0lite ViruZ patch history.

I can predict the consequences quite good.

What U say is NOT due to the g3n0lite patch.

That only misabuses the reaction a Nokia has on certain values in sms's.

Some Nokias not seem to handle theoretically impossible values correct.

With eg 1, they start blinking, at 3 they start to hang.

Bout other forums, I personally never read.

While mostly it is only the talking people like there.

Not the working demos as I am used to have here at nFree.

I think, your phone really have a bad ram, because if you can`t flash it, then there is something wrong with HARDWARE

Is deleting the sms message always the solution for removing the virus?
