i recently got the dku-5 data cable, and today i put it while the phone was off. when i turned in on i got a screen that promted me to type in the "restriction code" or something.

i didnt know what it was, so i put in a number and hit ok. well, the number was wrong and it sent me to a screen that says "contact service".

ive looked around this site for some answers but i cant seem to find what im looking for. is it possible to flash this phone with a PC and get rid of this screen?

or do i need i really need to contact service or something..

please help, thanks.

The sonly solution that I know is flashing the phone:

to do that, you have two options: contact a private repair shop, who will not charge a big number to repair it, or you buy a box like Griffin (around U$S 400) and flash the phone yourself. The flashing process is erasing the current firmware and installing a new one. It's almost like when your computer is f**ed up, and you have to format it.

But why he got this result? It's a routine operation. I have a friend who have a 6220. A few days before, he connect the phone to pc suite 6.1 via IR. But the phone dead. When he turn the phone on, he got a blank screen with white...

Then he spent some money to flash the phone at the NOKIA CARE, the NOKIA CARE said:I advice you don't connect to the pc suite -_-b

I think the phone is already have the feature to kill itself. :D
