T610 'Invalid Mobile'

I have just brought a T610 from my local Fiday-Ad, when i tested it with my o2 sim it come up woth the invalid mobile error where the operator logo should be, I put in my Orange PAYG sim and it worked fine so I brought the phone, Now 2 days later I get the invalid mobile on my orange sim. Guessing that this phone may have been stolen or found I rung up a fre phone unlockers in my local area, None of them were interested, thay said the IMEI has to be changed and it is illegal. is there anyone on this site in Sussex, UK who will be willing to chang eme IMEI or do I have to buy the hardware and software to do it my self?

You will have to change it yourself and you can buy the software from www.allgsm.com
