I have tried Rolis 4.77 & 4.78B6 and both come up with message "will not run under Windows NT or 2000"

I have tried Win XP "Compatibility Mode" for Win 9x/Me but still won't work .. It says "turn on phone shortly" I turn on the Nokia 3310 but nothing happens... Is there something else I can use and preferably with some instructions because I am a novice...

here is the userport program m8
download, unzip, run and then load the rolis flasher

you must keep the userport running while using the flasher software

the only reason you cannot use ROLIS is becasue windows XP/NT have blocked off all com/LPT ports against programs that use them directly. Just Download a program called USERPORT w/c runs a driver that allows direct access to com/LPT ports thru windows XP/NT. And please do not set compatibility mode because it wont do you any good.

How to use Userport.

1. U Unzip all the files into a dir.
2. You open the "userport.exe"
3. U Push the start button. (Don't EVER push the stop button!)
4. Now you quit the program.
That's it. Now u can delete the program if u want!

-it works for me (i have win xp pro.)

:D :D :-D :)

I have XP home edition, i use userport to run rolis 4.768b. I think the problem is with the security settings on XP limiting the power/ strength of 'signal' from the LTP ports, and userport corrects this. Btw i have userport running all the time on my PC; gr8 program, and i highly recommend using it:D

I don't understand what's up with userport.

when i run Rolis with ATI Radeon display drivers innstalled, i get the message "this software does not run in 2000/nt".

When i uninstall the display drivers it works fine!

So I have 2 windows XP innstallations. One with display drivers, and one without. When i'll flash my phone, i boot to the windows without display drivers.

Are there any other programs like Userport?
