T9 Dictionary

Hii all, I've got a Nokia 3650 (American)... Since i'm italian, i'd like to have the possibility to upload its own T9 Italian Lang Pack..

Some hints?

Where can I find the Lang Pack and concerned sw to perform this operation?

Penso che l'unica soluzione sia quella di portarlo in assistenza a "flashare" col firmware in ITA.
Il T9 risiede infatti in ROM e quindi non puoi aggiornare niente da te.

grazie del suggerimento!!

pero' ho sentito che c'e' un software (Griffin) che permette di aggiornare i lang pack senza necessariamente dover flashare tutto...mmah..

i've got a reply from an Italian visitor, and so I felt easier to talk in italian.. we were just discussin about the way to update the T9 Dictionaries onto Nokia 3650..

Whether there's a chance to perform it via sw (without being compelled to send it to the supplier for a re-flashing)..

I'd like to add the Italian T9 dict. onto my American mobile..

Non perdere tempo, per una direttiva interna della nokia IT, i centri ufficiali nokia non flashano telefonini se non con il language pack di provenienza, al fine di evitare che la gente li importi ( visto che c'e' una differenza esorbitante nei prezzi). Se conosci qlc che possa flasharti in modo non ufficiale, sarebbe l'unica soluzione.
(A bologna, non c'e' speranza -_-;; )

Don't waste your time, Nokia official points are not allowed to reflash your phone using a different lang pack than the original one, It's a nokia italian internal directive to restrict and prevent import or export of products.
Btw, i said "official"... so....

Ma da quello che so io l'unico modo per intervenire sulla rom è di aprire il telefono e posare un particolare connettore in grado di programmarla.
Daltronde questa è una sicurezza per l'incolumità del telefono dai vari software e del copyright nokia.

Comunque se trovi una possibile soluzione fammi sapere! Muoio di curiosità ;)

yep, i bought my 3650 in germany saving - 100€ then italian price.
Prices of nokia products in italy are awfully xpensive (from phones to even MMC). sad, very sad..

i was told Nokia took this position only in Europe.

BTW, Griffin is only a hardware Rom reflasher, not a software: an alluminium box, with some software and cables for ~340 $

I fully agree... I'm italian as well, and I've bought that mobile via Ebay for US $124!!!!! ....i feel very lucky!! :))

Considering that in Italy its price is about 400-450 Euros..

Abyway... I've read that Griffin allows to change/add languages...

Sono nuovo di qua, ho visto ke c'è qualke italiano e mi piacerebbe fare una semplicissima domanda x voi alla quale ancora nessuno mi ha dato una risposta!! Come faccio a Flashiare il mio Nokia 3650??? Ke cavo mi serve e dove posso comprarlo, ke software e possibilmente dove posso trovare il firmware!! Io ho la 2.50 e non voglio portarlo al centro di assistenza!!

Grato a kiunque mi dia una risposta.... sembra quasi ke nessuno voglia dirmi come fare!! L'ho kiesto milioni di volte e ancora niente!!! :(

not true.. they've flashed my friend's 7650 with a spanish language pack, 'min portugal!

Ciao ragazzi, se volete ho l'attrezzatura per aggiornare e sbloccare il vostro 3650 con il PPM in Italiano all'ultima versione software disponibile....Già fatto sul mio e su altri (uso Prodigy box x tutti i Nokia praticamente!).
Il tutto per 12 euro più spese di ri-spedizione. Garanzia di serietà!
