Hello everyone,

I just got my 6600 today and I got it on the charger right now.

Wanted to ask anyone real quick a couple of questions… if you know the answer, I would appreciate hearing from you.

1.) I have my 3650 backed up on my computer… can I use that info to sync back to my new 6600? I mean, is there a simple way where I can move all the Contacts, Settings, Images, Videos, and Apps to my new phone?
2.) Can I install the Apps that I use on my 3650 on my 6600? Will it screw up the apps or the 6600? On my 3650 I use IrRemote, MGS Karting, ETI Camcorder Pro, Forward, Photographer, pExtender, Sync, & Killer Virus …I would like to install these on my 6600.

Thanks a lot,
GreaseMan

Ps. the 6600 is awesome… 1st impression is that the quality of the display is at least twice as nice compared to my old 3650… it is super crisp and clear. The picture quality too is really a lot better. The phone surprised me too in that it was smaller than what I was expecting. I was glad that nokia also gives you a 32 Mbyte MMC to start with compared to the 16 we got with the 3650. If anyone is interested, I was able to get my 6600 for $450 U.S. here in the Philippines (might sound expensive but it’s only about the 1st week since the 6600 showed up & it’s not even in stores yet)

2. some appz will work on your n6600 but not all better to search the web for some links regarding 6600 appz and themes. . .

i wonder wat would happen if you took a backup of your 3650 and then a backup of your 6600 aswell, and replaced the 6600's contacts.cdb file with the one from the 3650 and then did a restore on the 6600... Anyone tired it..? it's a nice thing to try..
Cheers

i tried backing up the fone of 3650 onto my mmc, den change the mmc, put the mmc into my ngage, den click on restore settings. all the games, app, logos, settings, all become the 3650 (including a shortkey, camerta), den i cant go into the menu, too much mem i use. so i had no choice, but to reformat fone.

i will sae, move the contacts, 1 by 1 via bt. slow, but its the safest.

How long has this thread been around? If i was the dude with the question ... I'd load every image, ringtone and contact (and every other personalization) manually.

Yes, I know ... its annoying and we're all lazy (aren't we? ). Think about it, if you did it manually ... it would be completed by now :D

Anyway, hope you find the answer! And don't forget:

You gotta do, what you gotta do!

Well, my 6600 been full format and I lost all my contact and other things  but I did sync it on pc (for backup using nokia pc suite) and other info. The problem is the restore button is disabled and only you can use only the backup button.

Any guys have an ideas?? :-?

Really appreciate your help. :D and thanks

The PC suite came with phone can export/import program from other phones even palm devices and transfer them to your new phones. I haven't used it because I had synchronised my 3650 to outlook. Then I just synchronise outlook again with the 6600 and all your contacts and calendar items are on your new phone. Hope that help someone :)
