I screww up my 8250!!

I use too use eeprom tools to change its IMEI on 8250s,,today,,I just got new 8250 and change IMEI as I used to..I could change it successfully but,,it won't register to the network...I off/on a few time....that unit take 10 mins to regiter sometime n somtime it doesn't register at all..,,,

any suggestion to solve this issue...:)

i use rolis's nokia tool 1.7b but its say "can't get the mobile software" ,,,


another 1 fact I wanna point out that the problem 8250 has higher firmware version compare to those last time.it has v5.06 25-04-02 NSM 3D....

how about using knok22 or eepromtools31 for FAID ?

are you changing the imei because you just flash your phone or ....
try to re-flash you phone,maybe the problem occur bcoz bad connection when you flash it.
or the chip have have some problem.

any ways ,maybe i wrong :p

If you've got no network after changing IMEI, check the phone's first simlock(mcc+ncc) if value is 00000. The said value is an indication that the phone was unlocked thru old partial flash patching and probably cause the eeprom tool fail to calculate FAID correctly so you need to flash the mcu area.

Nokia Tool 1.7b cannot use with 8250. It' isn't work. After u change IMEI (Repair IMEI button) by Eeprom Tool 3.1, u have to click Update AuthorityID button (left button) to faid it. Please tell me your result.

Try this !!

Try 1rst with Downgrade Flash ( use Full flash with Lower Version), then as usually calculate faid with EEProm Tool 3.1 By phreak.
then Upgrade to New Version ie. V504 (Mcu+PPm) use Rollis 78. then ... calculate faid, reset Software.

ehhh...basten...Noktool 1.7b cannot use with 8250 meh ? do u mean the newer version ones or ALL of the 8250's ? i think i did try using it b4....to change IMEI for one of my customers... ????

:) ummmm...I tried to use it but it could not read any information from 8250. I always use Eeprom Tools for repair IMEI & unlock.

I'm not sure about version of 8250 but I think it may be all version. For Nokia Tool 1.7b by Rolis, I don't know its version too.

maybe your fault is caused by only that you've only changed 1 of the IMEI, it's better to change both the IMEIs. And what kinda housing/casing do you need? I maybe able to get it for you.

@To others,
The Rolis1.7b works with 8250, I've been using it for a long time and lot of set. It's possible to change the IMEI with it and it works 100%. :)
