Hello, great forum. I want to switch my 3650 from USA AT&T carrier to USA Cingular. Phone background: I bought it online auction from guy in Mass. USA, and it was used for AT&T. Phone info:
IMEI: 351102500572770
NETWORK: 310 380 (assuming AT&T USA)

I generated following codes and tried with following results:
#pw+428107744673702+1# "not allowed" [2nd try]
#pw+257255777514050+2# "not allowed" [3rd try]
#pw+729820042700224+3# "not allowed" [4th try]
#pw+416117631453717+4# "not allowed"
#pw+427517044567713+5# "not allowed"
#pw+733530157167436+6# "not allowed"
#pw+906212121414315+7# "code error" [1st try]

So I noticed that not all 3650 on AT&T USA are network code 31080... and I tried plugging in code 24407 (from FAQ on this site.) Then attempted the following new codes:
#pw+435417752316517+1# "not allowed" [2nd try]
#pw+797840013500044+2#
#pw+715040434332544+3#
#pw+935372253375575+4#
#pw+742910567011014+5#
#pw+714860733210466+6#
#pw+792040216062047+7# "code error" [1st try]

Now, I think I've definitely exceeded my 5 lives. Is cable my only option now? And if so, anyone recommend a supplier for 3650 cable that works well on a laptop using win2000? How much cost?

One other note: I plugged in my desired Cingular SIM (already activated from other phone -- same trick worked for my 6310i at least), and phone read: "Sim Not Accepted". Fine. So I plugged in a virgin AT&T sim, and everything was fine -- all functions available, but no service of course. After that, it made sense to assume it is in fact locked to AT&T. After that, I started entering codes.... but I must have gone too far.

Can someone confirm I used the right codes, and that I need the cable now? I hate for a hobby to turn into such an expense! Hardware costs too much. I'd rather make it, but I would need a connector to the 3650, plus easy schematics to follow.

Thanks in advance... great forum!

the codes you used were wrong
Nokia 3650 witrh IMEI 500 ( 351102500572770
network code is 24407
and wat you used was 31038
that is why you did not unlock your fone
now the only way is by cable and sofware
im Sorry
The code that would unlock your fone is THIS one
#pw+425417752316517+1#

Thanks, crashynot.

Does anyone recommend a good cable site? I'm tired of having to email folks for their prices. Viewing set prices from local US sellers would be better.....

Thanks again.

$400 for the Griffin?!?!? Dang!!! I mean, if I spend that much, just to let you know... I'll be doing much more than a hobby with that thing. It'll be a new side business. Sheesh.

Why can't I find a used one on e-bay? Sheesh. I can't even find someone who sells the service of unlocking a 3650. (I must have poor search skills.)

Well, I ended up buying a cheapo unlocker for 3650/3600 on e-bay for about 15 bucks. I hope it works.... will keep you updated in about a week.
