Unlock V66i

Hi all you!
I have a little question concerning unlock of an v66i.
Well i have a serial interface incl cable for v66, with f/m-bus.
I also have downloaded a victor gsm version 3.2.3 which should support the v66.
Now can i unlock the phone without damaging it? I think the victor gsm software requires a dongle? Is that necessary for unlocking function or do i need a crached version??

the cracked version doesn't require the dongle and is very safe
victorgsm makes very good software

i got a question though... anyone know of software which will unlock the v60i's locked on fido???
