thanks. before i put the code in, i just put in a 'Virgin' SIM card and it looks like it works already.

Is there a way of checking if its already unlocked?
Should i enter the unlock code anyway?
What are the results when you place a different SIM in a locked phone?

Thanks

Arni

If the phone work with another simcard then it should be unlocked already........

If you put in the code you will get a message such as " Cannot undo restriction", meaning the phone is already unlocked...

If you put a differnet simcard into an unlocked phone you will get a message "sim card registration failed"

Hope this helps....

yes. Thanks. im gonna put my Virgin SIM back in there and see if i can receive a call. that should be enough confirmation.

Is it common to buy phones which are already unlocked?
Is there a possiblilty that it could only be unlocked to Vodafone and Virgin?
