the sreen on my 8210 has gone all skew-wiff and now ive gotta press real hard on the top of the screen just to read the dam thing. anyone know how i can fix this without having to buy a new screen?

Man...I'm a newbie..but I could tell you that it might be the small rubber (located underneath the display) that makes the connection between the display and the pins on the motherboard.
Try to change the rubber...I think that will do.

You can try eBay.com for the small pieces of rubber, also known as elastomers.

I've replaced many, and IMHO the black elastomers, with a white coating, are by far the best.

The white ones are not very good!

the 8210 screen problem is the same one that plagues the 8290 phones too. I just replaced the elastomer by contacting DSI ([email protected]) and now my phone's LCD works great.

Trying the 'elastomer' first is a good idea and then if you still have issues you can then order the screen.
(Note: If you decide to just order a screen ask the vendor if they ship it w/an elastomer...some do NOT!!)

One other note : if your not familiar with the elastomers is try not to touch it w/your bare fingers.

HOW MUCH DID THEY CHARGE YOU FOR THE ELASTOMERS??
A NEW 8210 SCREEN COST ME £15. :eek:

In australia nokia fix all 8210s with screen problems for free. anyway u can get them from http://www.cellbase.com.au/
