8310 Contact Service fault??

Been given one to look at ,any ideas guy's, i don't know if it's been dropped or someone has tried to unlock it.

I have the necessary cables but no way of flashing it, if it does need a full flash what can i do?

Try unlocking it as this was a problem on the first 8310's that came out, there is another fix that I know of but can remember off the top of my head, will have a look round and give the link.
