My Rolis Flasher doesn't work correctly. Do I need Dejan BOX 1.05? I have 1.00. I wanted to do backup with Flasher 5.14 and it did, but with errors. I had to use my great old 4.77

Did you check with the setting options, is it selected with dejan box?? Try to change the setting for your lpt port there, invert this and invert that to try.

Hope this help..

rolis 4.77 is newer than 5.14.
5.14 is just rubbish...

get Rolis Flasher 4.78b and nokia tool 3.21 by jordik - and you'll have what you need...

I've got Rolis 478b6 but I got problems with this too. Everything seems to be ok but when it's near finish of reading flash, it gives popup that Checksums are incorrect. When I flash phone with this backup, it displays only CONTACT SERVICE even after updating FAiD and resets. I'm using RolisFlasher477 and it works great:)

then just stick to 477 :)

But you can try to lower delay index in setup in 478b.

sorry to dis agree, mr. geezzuzz but 514 aint rubbish.

1. got it running good on 2 pc's with 550Mhz & 600Mhz pentium processor.
2. set my delay index to 2, estimated download time for full 3310 flash is 5min., not quite fast, but will do.
3. i am able to calculate simple mcu chksum error (i.e. contact service) on all supported units with 5.14 but not with 4.77 & 4.78b (though ui use 4.77 to check if flash has errors).

still, its up to the user, 'no? :D :D :D
WBR
btw, im using a flasher(dejan1.00b)/mbus combi cable)

Thanx for your opinions!

You mentioned you are using a combi cable. Is it the type where you dont need to switch connectors (no unplugging)? If so Im interested in purchasing one. If you just made/modified it, would you kind enough to mail me the details.

You say serial connectors on both ends even for flashing? So do you need to switch connector heads from flashed cable to data cable?
