Thats all it took about 3 minutes of having both sim cards on at the same time to have a few interesting things happen :)

Lets call them A and B:

A and B were on at the same time...

I used another phone to call the number A and B shared... i was just playing around to see which would ring etc etc (like you do!!)

And then when i rang it the next time my phone(s) didnt ring but i seemed to get through to someone (?!) Sounded like a helpdesk - nobody said anything on answering but i could hear low voices in the background, i didnt really stick around nor did i say anything and the SIMS were taken out fair quick. No calls or anything regarding it so maybe give it a week and see what happens again :)

What are the laws in the UK?? I cloned an Orange card if anyones interested

So which one rang?? the original or the clone.

As for the law, I spoke to a friend who works for a network, and as far as he knew there are no laws against it due to the fact that all the networks beleive it is completly impossible to clone a sim card.

You said you are using Orange, presumably that means the original is registered to you or somebody else. Maybe a bad idea!

I would try with a prepay sim that isn't registered and a couple of old phones that way you can play about as much as you want and they cannot trace you.

also how did you do it?? This is something I am interested inand would like to give a try.

Hah yep the Orange sim was registered to my sister - heheheh...

I now have two spare 6210's so you know i can use them when i test my cloned sims now which'll be good, just need to get some other card off ebay NOT registered :- )

As for doing it...

I simply bought a smartcard reader and a smart card writer
First i read KI and IMSI using CARDinal 6.8
Then input into TwinSim software - generated Hex's and
Burned to a blank gold card using Millenium software with my Millenium 2001 writer

Simple :-P

Tar for informain me about laws, i was very curious

Do you know if it is possible to over write the data on a sim??

You said you used a blank gold sim, could you take for example 2 t-mobile sims read the data from one and write it to the other to clone the first.

You didn't say which sim rang??

Also let me know if you need any unregistered sims.

Best regards

i believe you can overwrite data on a goldwafer indefinately - i did :)

Dont think u can overwrite a general sim sim though :\ not sure

Which sim rings DOES NOT depend on which is the ORIGINAL but merely the one which last contacted the network i believe.

A and B on...

You turned B on last so B rings...

Turn B off...

NONE ring...

Check credit or dial number on A (to contact network and get connection)

A rings...

^^ my experience anyway :D

Mike

p.s. Regarding SIMS please pm me :- )

Makes sense.

So if they are both on at the same time for a say a couple of hours, (being as the contact the network every now and again) you would have no idea which one is going to ring.

But for example if you have two phones say a 3650 which you use most of the time and a 8310, and you were going out for the night and didn't want to lug around a huge 3650 whilest out on the piss, you could switch the 3650 off, switch on the 8310 and be confident that it wil work quite happily.

A fairly practical application.

Bingo... Yep all correct to my knowledge :)

Some people say the newest phones have trouble with the CLONED sim working in it, so unsure whether the 3650 would accept it, my 7650 works fine with a clone though :)

Another "use" of a clone is say, have a pin on your SIM CARD, always use the cloned (or whatever) and when you get it stolen they cant get round the pin and you can go home and happily proceed to use your original one :- )

Wonder what would happen if you had several sims all identical : -P
Worth a try as once the KI and IMSI are found making a clone is a piece of cake!

I don't have eaither, but I do have a fixed motorola 8989 carphone which I never use due to having to swap the sims over.

Get into the car switch 7250 off, switch on car phone, simple.

Sent you and email.
