HELP!!! 6510 Died on me...

Hey guys I need some help here. My 6510 just died on me and now I can't turn it on. We'll the whole story is.......

Last night my 6510 is almost out of battery and I sent a picture message to one of my pals and all of the sudden it turned off. Well at first I thought that the bettery might have just run out so I charged it, but when I tried to turn in on this morning...... It won't TURN ON.

What can I do????? All my phone numbers are stored in the phones memory.

Please, Please, Please Help Me.

Well, phones don't usually die that way. When you connect a charger, does it indicate charging, or does the screen stay empty?

You can try the following: Take the battery out and keep it out for a few minutes. Use the time to clean the battery contacts, sometimes there is dust or similar, preventing the battery from getting a good contact with the phone.

After few minutes, put the battery back in, and connect a charger. Wait untill charging starts, then disconnect the charger again, and try to power on the phone. Let me know if it works.....

Well, I was thinking of the same thing but when I plugged in the charger to charge it I saw the battery charging indicator. I charged it over-night to have a fully charged battery but it still won't turn on. I also noticed that when I tried to turn the phone on (still plugged in to the charger with the battery indicator moving up and down), the screen went blank (the charging indicator disapears).

I took it to a repair shop they say it's dead, but I don't believe them. I think they just want me to just buy a new one. A friend of mine also had the same experience and he took his phone to his network provider and after a week it's all okay now. I think he said that they just upgraded the phones software or something....

Anyway..... Thanks for the advice I'll try it later.

Yes, it looks like youyr phone got it's software screwed. What you can do is have it flashed.... just take it to a Nokia service centre or some phone shop, and let them do it for you, if you don't have the equipment.

I think flashing it (putting new software on it) will solve the problem, but the phone numbers that you had saved will be gone...... you should always save those in both phone AND SIM memory, to be on the safe side :)
